I found four of these Niels Refsgaard plates hidden behind his Brown Mist pattern. I was intrigued by the design and when I picked it up and turned it over I was surprised to see that it was a Dansk pattern.
Very thick, heavy, diner-style dinner plate with an excellent aqua hourglass border! Shows wear, but no chips, and was a total steal for 50 cents at a thrift shop!
No pattern name.

I shot my image for a Kitchenware assignment at college tonight.
We basically had to take something from the kitchen and make it interesting. I decided I wanted to get a very contrasty shot that showed the ‘roughness’ of a blade, and used the orange as almost a victim of said knife.
The orange running down the blade is acrylic paint that I lightened in Photoshop to look like the oranges’ ‘blood’.

1 strobe camera left 1/4 Power for key light
1 strobe full power behind object for rim light on blade
Reflector Camera right to bring definition into the handle.

The light here in the Visitor Center is fine for the artifacts, but really sucky for photography. I did the best that I could with it..

Busy tidying and rearranging - but not too busy to go out and buy more stuff. Found this at the local Goodwill store. I don't have oodles of Pyrex, but love what I have and have room for additions. Couldn't pass this one up. Very cheerful and colorful - even in lousy low kitchen light. Digital photo. (2008)
These are my "deadly" fork scorpions. Shot for my tafe assignment. We had to shoot an ordinary kitchen object out of context. So here's mine - Wiltshire scorpions made and shot by myself. (and , by the way, wiltshire fork handles are VERY hard to bend!!!
