We started the morning on the north side of Lassen Volcanic National Park in Old Station. After a huge bowl of oatmeal at JJ's Cafe, we headed to Subway Cave nearby--a lava tube that is open to the public. Make sure you bring a flashlight and a jacket as its pitch dark and 46 degrees inside! Getting there early ensured that we had the place entirely to ourselves.
From there, we drove around the backside of the park, stopping in Westwood before we headed to the Drakesbad Guest Ranch, from where we were scheduled to go on a horseback ride. Though the original plan was to go to Terminal Geyser (a 3 hour ride), some of the guests arrived late necessitating a change in plans. Instead, we went out to Devil's Kitchen, the park's second largest display of geothermal features and only a 2 hour ride.
After the ride and the short hike down into Devil's Kitchen, we soaked in the hot springs at the Guest Ranch while hikers on the Pacific Crest Trail stocked up on their supplies.
The day ended with a fabulous pizza at Tantardino's Pizzeria in Lake Almanor Peninsula.
Shot in the kitchen of John and Mable Ringling's home called the Ca' d’Zan which was built in 1925 in Sarasota, FL.
This was shot for the owner of a rental property. I used several layers of lighting for this shot; one ceiling bounce for the dining table, two or three for fill, one back light for the bottle and glasses, one for window pull, and a few to cast light onto the table outside. Finally, I threw some light onto the kitchen from outside, to introduce some shadows. I used a Profoto B1 for all pops.
CC welcome.
A garage sale find which now resides in my kitchen. It was a little beat up (looks like a little boot print on it's face, poor thing!) but charming nevertheless.
Submitted to Our Daily Challenge - topic today is Square. I liked the way kitty looked against the square terracotta tiles.
Blend of three ambient frames. Used a slightly darker one for the backsplash/counter area below the cabinet on the left (it was very blown) and a brighter one for the cabinetry below (client was concerned about that area being too dark). Client is the cabinetry rep/builder.
Camera could stand to be about a half inch to the right :)
shot with a Canon 5d mk3, 24 mm TS mk2 a 430 and a load of sb80s
lots going on here there are three images here mainly to give options to the client different styling and chair layouts that are in different layers to make it easy for the client to choose.
430 on top triggering 2 sb 80s to the right, bare bounce and 2 to the left through soft boxes. separate exposure for the stove and for the cooker
For editorial use and a kitchen manufacturer this image will have another final touch up if it is selected, plug sockets and light fittings will be removed and a fire might be added

My Aide, Heather, captured these kitchen orchid photos with her Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G cellphone. I did a bit of editing in Apple’s Photos editor.

➤ Your image's background must be an interior environment (living room, bedroom, kitchen, etc.).
➤ It must feature a wild animal (not pet or farm animal).
➤ There must be a red object.
➤ And an internal light source (candle, lamp, fireplace, etc.).
➤ NOTHING FROM THE VEGETABLE KINGDOM (no plants, flowers, trees, seeds, leaves, roots, etc.; but wooden furniture is okay).
All images are my own apart from the zebra which is in the Public Domain.
Finally getting some time to work on some printmaking. Really enjoyed creating these kitchen inspired mini prints.
I found this original lamp from the seventies at the fleemarket and now it lights up my kitchen (and my heart ;)
Why, oh why, doesn't *my* kitchen pantry look like this???
From one of today's shoots. Canon XTi, Tokina 12-24 mm, 400 ISO, single flash.
I took this of my kitchen. We gutted the whole kitchen after we moved in and started from scratch. We put in all new custom cabinets and new solid surface countertops.
We also added a glass block wall to add in more light.
This old, Abandoned WME Engineering workshop has been abandoned for multiple years. Multiple snake skins where found throughout our explore of this derelict location.
