Στο έρημο σήμερα χωριό Βίκλα υπήρχε μοναστήρι του Τιμίου Σταυρού, μετόχι του Σταυροβουνίου, που είναι άγνωστο πότε ιδρύθηκε. Η παλαιότερη μνεία για την ύπαρξή του είναι του 18ου αιώνα και βρίσκεται στον κώδικα της Μητρόπολης Κιτίου, όπου και καταγράφεται η μεγάλη κινητή και ακίνητη περιουσία του. Σήμερα, στη θέση του παλαιού καθολικού υπάρχει ναός στο όνομα του Αγίου Ιωάννη του Ελεήμονος, πολιούχου της Λεμεσού.
