A Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway excursion train pulls into Jim Thorpe. Getting this shot was tricky as the tracks were almost entirely covered in shadow by the adjacent trees, except for a small opening seen here. The town gets flooded with tourists every Fall who come to enjoy the foliage from aboard this train, leading to heavy congestion on Highway 209. It took me about 20 minutes to cover the last half mile coming into town!

A trio of Lehigh Valley Rail Management end-cab switchers head past the giant Bethlehem Steel Plant in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Although the mill closed in the late 90s, the property was purchased by a casino and is still open to the public. Norfolk Southern's mainline runs right behind the site, with the interchange point between NS and LVRM just below where this photo was taken.

EMD F9A #270 leads the Fall Foliage Excursion into Port Clinton, Pennsylvania. #270 and F7B #275 previously led Norfolk Southern's Office Car Specials across the eastern United States until they were auctioned off in 2019. They were acquired by the Reading & Northern and painted into the railroad's bold "Marlboro" scheme.
