A trio of Lehigh Valley Rail Management end-cab switchers head past the giant Bethlehem Steel Plant in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Although the mill closed in the late 90s, the property was purchased by a casino and is still open to the public. Norfolk Southern's mainline runs right behind the site, with the interchange point between NS and LVRM just below where this photo was taken.

RBMN 2102 leads the Fall Foliage Excursion through the short tunnel beneath Pennsylvania Route 93 in Nesquehoning on its return trip to Reading.

Reading, Blue Mountain and Northern #2102 pulls the Fall Foliage Excursion into the 1888 Central of New Jersey depot at Jim Thorpe. After all passengers unload, the train will spin the wye north of here in preparation for its 4:20PM departure back to Reading.

EMD F9A #270 leads the Fall Foliage Excursion into Port Clinton, Pennsylvania. #270 and F7B #275 previously led Norfolk Southern's Office Car Specials across the eastern United States until they were auctioned off in 2019. They were acquired by the Reading & Northern and painted into the railroad's bold "Marlboro" scheme.

Ricketts Glen State Park is situated along the Allegheny Front in the Pennsylvania mountains. Well known for its waterfalls, Ricketts Glen features a waterfall loop trail along two branches of Kitchen Creek that showcase over twenty waterfalls, one after the other after the other, making this location a waterfall photographers dream! The photograph shown was taken looking downstream just before the drop of the highest waterfall within the park, Ganoga Falls. What caught my eye here was the way in which the fallen leaf litter was catching in the thick green moss of the river stones, allowing the colors to glitter in the water like seasonal jewels.
