The Hickory Run of Hickory Run State Park.

The beautiful Hickory Run.

This hike didn't really have any scenic overlooks with exception to this modest one, overlooking the Lehigh Gorge. As the table indicates, it was a nice spot for a picnic.

Rt I-80 runs parallel to the Delaware River through the Water Gap area.

As mentioned earlier, I am coming back here soon to see the babies in full bloom. The rhododendron "tunnels" went on for ridiculous lengths. Mid to late June, this is going to be heaven on Earth.

The rhododenron tunnels come adorned with their own babbling brook.

One of my finer hikes. This park is a new one to me. When I saw that it had around 44 miles of hiking trails, I hopped to it. Definitely planning on returning here mid-late June for the Rhododendron blooms (which looks like the whole place is packed with them). I begin my 19.95 mile hike at the Fireline Trailhead.
