Lots and lots of walking along park roads. To get to my next point of interest, I had to follow this road under the Pennsylvania Turnpike's northern extension.
After a stint in the woods, my hike takes me out into the open for a moment. I have to walk some streets in order to connect to my next trail.
Out of all the state parks that I've been to so far, I must say I have seen more creeks, brooks and streams here than anywhere else. Hickory Run, shown here, is just one of many waterways throughout this park, just adding to the peaceful ambiance.
It is best known as the location of the execution of Charles Getter, the last person to be publicly executed in Pennsylvania.
