Among the Key West sights and businesses we drove past on the Conch Tour Train was this colorful postcard-style Key West mural at Cuban Coffee Queen (284 Margaret Street). This would have been the perfect place for a photo stop; but alas, we were on the move and not allowed to disembark until we reached an official tour stop.
Students in the KEY Summer Institute (KSI) are getting a chance to see what life at IU Kokomo is like before the first day of classes.
The KSI is designed to give students a chance to get comfortable on campus, meet new friends, and get to know faculty they can talk to on day 1.
The KSI also takes students off campus so they can get an idea of what the city of Kokomo has to offer. They go to places like Jackson-Morrow Park, the Downtown Art Gallery, lunch and local restaurants, and the Seiberling Mansion which is where IU Kokomo got its start.

Well I felt like I cheated (a little bit) on the saxophone shot by darkening the background post-process.
I learnt from it though, and used objects of a more manageable size. These are both SOOC except a crop.

This is a great example of low key because my subject is lit up but the background offers a stark difference in a dark tone. I edited this on LR to lower the exposure and make the photo overall darker and get rid of any extra unneeded light. I also used some side lighting on my subject. I used the color gradient to market the undertone of this photo red which adds something to the message I am trying to get across.
Key West, a U.S. island city, is part of the Florida Keys archipelago. It's also Florida's southernmost point, lying roughly 90 miles north of Cuba. Famed for its pastel-hued, conch-style houses, it’s a cruise-ship stop also accessible from the mainland via the Overseas Highway. It’s known more for its coral reefs – destinations for diving and snorkeling – than for its beaches.

One of my favorite shots in the US. My wife and I woke up at 5am to shoot the sunrise (I know she hated me for shooting sunrise when we travel)! I love the color of the sky.
I am here in Key West. Yes, the furthest key of the southern USA.
