Adventure Kermit sways to a reggae beat celebrating the birthday in 1945 of reggae musician Bob Marley who was born in St. Ann parish in Jamaica. Christifari is a Christian reggae band I heard several years ago.
Actually, tonight we hosted a wonderful Southern Gospel group - the Skyline Boys. I'm mostly a hard rock/heavy metal fan - but these guys are exceptional musicians and we have really enjoyed having them at our church the last two years. It was an awesome evening!
It came from a joke, not sure how it started, we were up WAY too late and somehow I got it into my head to draw kermit as Che Guevara. Kermit is always awesome, as all Muppets are, Che, well he's a symbol some people think of when they think revolution, and his image is something hipsters wear to try and impress on others that they are edgy and counter culture. For some reason the mashup of these two icons amused me to no end.
I do remember saying "You don't understand man! Kermit was there, Man! He was there in the swamp, he made that rek to Hollywood, he took Manhattan, he was there man!"
Ahhh late night fun.
