My childhood Kermit turned up looking like a sad murder victim on top of an inkjet printer out at my folks'. He immediately roused to throw himself on Puck the Dog.

I was on my lunch break during part of the 25th Annual Star City Holiday Parade and managed to catch just a few minutes near the end of the parade. Here's something I saw. I ran back two blocks to get a better view of the final float -- Kermit the Frog.
Although Miss Piggy had her doubts about the provenance of Kermit's new sports car,
she was not prepared for the comeuppance Batman was about to unleash on the
unsuspecting, bragadocious frog.
My aunt Connie always sends me the nicest and coolest cards for my birthday/Halloween/Christmas. I came home tonight to a letter in the box from her. When I opened it, I immediately could tell it was an older card. This Sesame Street “play card” from 1984 (my birth year), is so adorable and cool! She also included some cash (of course), and a Polaroid of me as a kid, in my childhood home. Bringing it all back to Jim Henson and the Muppets, here I am holding my Kermit doll (and a truck). This photo brings me sadness and happiness. I also love how the sofa backdrop I used to take these pictures is so similar to the one I’m sitting on in the photo. That’s my kinda style. Thank you, Aunt Connie. And thank you for being the kind of aunt who sends a 41 year old birthday money.

While driving to band rehearsal I spotted a double rainbow, but couldn't get my camera in time. I was able to get this single rainbow a few minutes later. Not the best picture, but I still got it!
One of my favorite songs is Kermit the Frog's "Rainbow Connection". I actually used to cover it that song on banjo. I never sat on a lily pad while singing it though. Haha!
Rainbows really are magical. They rarely happen. And when they do, it's almost as if you feel like everything from that point on is going to be ok. You know what I mean?
