KMP Bristol VR WTH 957T was seen returning to KMP's Llanberis base after a PM school run on 12th June, 2002. It had been new to South Wales Transport as 957.

New to Eastern Counties

After the first year of operation, Red Kite's Bedford coaches began to be joined by a variety of Bristol VRs for double-deck school contracts. TEX 405R was already more than twenty years old when it arrived from Cambus, it served for three years and was surprisingly then sold for further service to KMP.

New to Excelsior

By an odd coincidence, the previous A17 XEL, a similar vehicle new to Excelsior in 1992, was sold to KMP when replaced by this one and re-registered 6697 RU. A few years later the replacement also made the same move and once again replaced its Excelsior predecessor, gaining the same registration so 6697 RU (ex A17 XEL) succeeded 6697 RU (ex A17 XEL)!.

Two of Brighton Buses' first batch of Dennis Darts passed to KMP in North Wales. J989 JNJ was seen in Llanberis in January, 2005.
