DVLA have the colour as orange.
The driver may be a bit on the casual side, but KMP's Mercedes 814D/Mellor M637BEY is smartly presented as it works the 1145 from Caernarfon to Llanberis via Beddgelert at Pen-y-Gwryd on 20 June 1996. The nearside carries both Bws Gwynedd and Snowdon Sherpa branding. The gentleman on the right seems keen to get away.

Changes at KMP Llanberis in 2008-09 resulted in buses being painted from the familiar light blue into Padarn Bus red. Though not unpleasant, the blue livery never looked quite right to me with the black roof. Padarn red seems better, but could do with a bit more yellow rather than the token flash under the front screen.
Padarn were kind enough to allow us on the premises during our North Wales grice on 29 June 09. W632RNP was still in KMP livery, W854NFF in new livery is without fleet name at the front. Older step entrance KMP Dart K819NKH looks particularly well in Padarn red.
KMP's are skill building exercises advised by Kevin Macpherson in his book Fill Your Oil Paintings with Light & Color. I started these in 2007 and am continuing with variations in palette in 2010. KMP had three of these Volvo Jonckheere P599's in the fleet around 1990, two E-plates bought new and a virtually identical older secondhand one. E77AEY was photographed on 27/07/90 at Grenoble while operating for Eurolines

This was KMP's solitary 9-metre Pointer Dart, although they also had another chassis of this length with an East Lancs body.

New to Excelsior
Both of the former Excelsior Premieres had been withdrawn in May 2004 following the sale of the Eurolines work, but stood out of use in the yard for some time before sale.

The only minibuses in the KMP fleet were three of these Mellor-bodied Mercs, two bought new and an ex demonstrator.
KMP Bristol VR/ECW BEP969V (new as South Wales 969) approaches the Rhes Victoria (Victoria Terrace) terminus in Llanberis with the 1635 from Caernarfon on 20 June 1996.
