The LEGO Store in Elmhurst, Queens, NY held a building event in honor of their 1st Birthday. The event is a new format as no master builder from LEGO was in attendance.

1 part of the building area was reserved for people who wanted to free build using red 2x4 and 2x8 bricks.

The other part of the building area was reserved for those who wanted to help build a 6 foot tall model of the Ninjago minifigure Kai. This model was put together twice throughout the weekend!

Thank you Richard, Joseph and Bryant for treating us so well throughout the weekend.

Düsseldorf-Hafen ist ein durch Industrie, Logistik, Gewerbe und Büronutzung geprägter Stadtteil Düsseldorfs mit lediglich 129 Einwohnern, was auf einer Gesamtfläche von 3,85 km² einer Einwohnerdichte von 34 Einwohner/km² entspricht; somit ist dies der am dünnsten besiedelte Stadtteil Düsseldorfs. Einen Großteil der Fläche nimmt der 1896 eröffnete Düsseldorfer Wirtschaftshafen in Anspruch, der Teil der Neuss-Düsseldorfer Häfen GmbH & Co. KG ist, dem drittgrößten Binnenhafen in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Der Stadtteil Hafen gehört zum Stadtbezirk 03.

Lange Zeit wurde der Hafen als Stadtteil nicht wahrgenommen, da dieser Bereich ein großes, zum Teil auch abgesperrtes Industrieareal war. Erst die seit den 1990er Jahren einsetzende Umwidmung der direkt an Unterbilk grenzenden Teile des Hafengebietes zum so genannten „Medienhafen“ und die darauf folgende Neubebauung mit zum Teil architektonisch gewagten Bürogebäuden brachten das Gebiet in den Blickpunkt der Düsseldorfer.

In diesem Bereich haben sich zahlreiche Unternehmen aus der Medien- und Werbebranche angesiedelt, in letzter Zeit auch vermehrt Mode- und Designerbetriebe mit großflächigen Ausstellungsräumen. Ein Multiplex-Kino sowie zahlreiche gehobene Restaurants, eine Großraumdiskothek sowie Clubs und Lounges sorgen zudem für ein reges Nachtleben.
