This is something from quite awhile ago, when Tom was out of town and I had his strobes and Chris and I decided to just go to the CFA and shoot randomly for fun. We had a grand old silly time.
I also wanted to try out a new idea with this, we brought Vellum paper and taped it across the end of the hallway at the far end. stacked layer upon layer until it reached the ceiling, then fired up 4 Alienbees behind it to create a huge lite-panel that covered the end of the hall, or essentially a vanishing point consisting purely of light. 5 strobes total.
Strobist Info: B800, B1600, B800, B1600 behind the Vellum paper wall. B1600 into large AB softbox high right. Triggered via Cybersyncs.
At the rooftop level of the Walt Disney Concert Hall. I had to hold down my shirt lest I'll look scandalous. This was quite a dangerous jumpshot and I'm glad nobody broke an ankle.

365/365! Made it!
This is a collection of my most interesting shots according to my stats and by far my biggest edit of the year!
I got some amazing looks from people (more so than yesterday's shot) whilst doing this and even had people taking pictures of me whilst I took each selfie with an old canvas as a prop!
I'm really chuffed that I stuck it out as I'm usually the one who falls at the second or third hurdle when trying something new.
I've learned loads in my first year of digital photography and post processing but still have only scratched the surface of what's possible which is why I'm going to carry on in 2012. My main aim for next year is to crack portrait photography!
I'd like to thank all who took the time to look, commented and fav' my pictures and especially want to thank those in the 365 the 2011 Edition group (you all know who you are) who's encouragement and advice has helped massively throughout the year.
Wishing you all a fantastic 2012
I have known Halcyon for several years. This year at Burning Man he ran Pink Heart Camp They had a great spot along the esplanade. It was a nice place to enjoy the company of others, to get a hug, or to get some water. He has a nice video up from this year: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Frm7Ugb4JZA
Halcyon recently published his book, Love More Fear Less. lovemorefearless.com/ Soon I will be getting my Jumping Book together.
Yes, we're cliches like that. but isn't jumpshots fun?
Too bad we missed the sun setting cos we couldn't find parking in the lot just beside this one. Setting sun was fast!

hope YOU had an awesome sunday too.
This is how I feel when I get out of work on a gorgeous day. So freeeeee! Yes, that is really my sandal flying off. No Photoshop except for color. It almost tumbled right off the cliff!

Sorry it's a day late in posting...
View On Black - - don't mind the mediocre photoshopping of the background....i really need to find a real white wall LOL
But, Happy Friday, and more appropriately, Happy Weekend to everyone!
Hello Flickr friends, yes another jump photo! But I'm mostly posting this just to link to a silly "autobiography" video I had to make this semester. I was finally able to upload it, and it can be viewed HERE! (Gives you kind of a "behind the scenes" look into the making of a jumping picture.)
Now, mind you, I am no filmmaker. Just took a videography class this semester so I could have someone show me how to use Final Cut. Now that I know, I can't wait to make more. Hopefully putting my Mark II to even more use!
Enjoy. :)

"Say hi to Tina, my partner in crime at work. :) This was shot the other day when Tina and I were doing the pictorial for the faculty of the school all around the campus. I really love our stage lights. Really, really. That's why we love taking jump shots here whenever we can, especially this time that we have a good camera!
The shoot was exhausting, and I haven't had enough sleep the night before, but then again I was holding a dSLR -- trigger happy, click away! Hahaha. I didn't think it would be that exhausting since this time I'd just be the photographer and not the model, but nah it was pure exhaustion.
I'd post more of the photo shoot in the coming days. For now, let's jump our way to happiness! Enough with the crap and shit. :)
Happy Dippy!

A jumpshot from this shoot. And I normally only try to post one jump from each location - but this one was just sooo silly!
Scott and Lara remind me that's it's very good to jump for joy now and again. Particularly if standing before a tree that is over 2000 years old.
My new beginning starts now. I hope everyone has a weekend full of possibilities!
As we were approaching the atop we saw these guys who were already ahead of us. I called their attention and dared them to do a jumpshot which they did haha. Promise, this photo is suppose to be a jumpshot! I yelled at them to say thank you. I meant it. If a stranger who's yelling from afar would ask you and your friend to jump on a hill will you do it?

Woke up this morning at 5am (yep, 5am), took the Metro down to the Mall and took advantage of the peace and quiet of the monuments at sunrise.
I took this from the Lincoln Memorial steps...oh, don't worry. Dear Abe got in on the jumping fun, too! (to be posted later!) I'm beat...I need a nap...BAD!
EXPLORED! really?!?!? crazy...while on vacation too. Thank you, magic donkey!
