1. A formal utterance of an authoritative opinion; an opinion so pronounced.
2. A formal decision given by a court.
3. A divine sentence of decision.
4. An opinion or estimate so formed.

We can see this word first time in 13th century. It's in English, but real story is much older...
The Judgement of Paris is a story from Greek mythology, which was one of the events that led up to the Trojan War and (in slightly later versions of the story) to the foundation of Rome.
It is recounted that Zeus held a banquet in celebration of the marriage of Peleus and Thetis (parents of Achilles). However, Eris, goddess of discord, was uninvited. Angered by this snub, Eris arrived at the celebration, where she threw a golden apple (the Apple of Discord) into the proceedings, upon which was the inscription ("for the fairest one").
Three goddesses claimed the apple: Hera, Athena and Aphrodite. They asked Zeus to judge which of them was fairest, and eventually Zeus, reluctant to favour any claim himself, declared that Paris, a Phrygian mortal, would judge their cases, for he had recently shown his exemplary fairness in a contest in which Ares in bull form had bested Paris's own prize bull, and the shepherd-prince had unhesitatingly awarded the prize to the god.
Thus it happened, all three of the candidates appeared to Paris on Mount Ida, in the climactic moment that is the crux of the tale. After bathing in the spring of Ida, each attempted with her powers to bribe Paris; Hera offered to make him king of Europe and Asia, Athena offered wisdom and skill in war, and Aphrodite, who had the Charites and the Horai to enhance her charms with flowers and song, offered the love of the world's most beautiful woman , Helena. This was Helen of Sparta, wife of the Greek king Menelaus. Paris accepted Aphrodite's gift and awarded the apple to her, receiving Helen as well as the enmity of the Greeks and especially of Hera. The Greeks' expedition to retrieve Helen from Paris in Troy is the mythological basis of the Trojan War. Seen purely as a story, such as is recounted in Bulfinch's Mythology, the Judgement of Paris is simply an amoral episode in which Paris' skill for sound judgement (for which the gods approved him) is overcome by appeals to his lust; thus a lengthy and blood-soaked war revolves upon a series of apparently trivial episodes, each adding to the inertia that drives events to their inevitable and tragic conclusions.
It's a story, but what's about present time. It's no problems with apples now,

La cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta, luogo di culto cattolico più importante di Parma, sorge in piazza Duomo, accanto al Battistero e al Palazzo Vescovile.
Esternamente è in stile romanico, con la facciata a capanna, tipica anche delle chiese di altre città del settentrione d'Italia (ad esempio Piacenza e Cremona). Internamente l'impianto romanico è rimasto, anche se gran parte degli interni (navata centrale, cupola, transetto) sono dovuti a successivi interventi rinascimentali. Alcune delle cappelle laterali sono state successivamente affrescate in stile gotico.

The Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, the most important Catholic place of worship of Parma, located in Cathedral Square, next to the Baptistery and the Bishop's Palace.
Externally it is in the Romanesque style, with the façade, also typical of churches of other cities of the north of Italy (for example, Piacenza and Cremona). Inside, the Romanesque is left, although much of the interior (nave, cupola, transept) are due to successive interventions Renaissance. Some of the side chapels were subsequently frescoed Gothic.

Inside Il Duomo di Firenze, Grand Duke Cosimo I de' Medici commissioned Giorgio Vasari and Federico Zuccari to paint a scene depicting the Last Judgment. Started in 1568, the upper portion is a fresco, representing the 24 Elders of the Apocalypse from Revelation 4:4, painted by Visari. The work below was painted by Zuccari and collaborators, in secco, and represents (from top to bottom) Choirs of Angels; Christ, Mary and Saints; Virtues, Gifts of the Holy Spirit and Beatitudes; and, at the bottom (mostly out of frame), Capital Sins and Hell; completed in 1579. Over 3,600 sq meters of painted surface in what is still the world's largest brick and mortar dome.

God has been incarnated twice amongst man to speak and work, to redeem mankind and save mankind, and both times has suffered the condemnation, blasphemy, and resistance of religious leaders and ruling regimes; this fact alone is enough to prove that the true way has been persecuted since ancient times. The more the way is true and the more it is the appearance and work of God, the more it suffers the rejection and condemnation of religious leaders and satanic regimes. The clever can determine from the unscrupulous persecution and condemnation of Almighty God and His work of the last days by the pastors and elders of the religious world and the CCP government whether or not it is the true way, and thereby make the wise choice."

Introduction
The Lord Jesus said, "I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth" (John 16:12–13). And in 1 Peter 4:17 it is written: "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God." These scriptures all prophesy that in the last days the Lord will come to express the truth and perform the work of judgment among those who believe in Him. However, many of our brothers and sisters in faith believe that because they believe in the Lord, their sins are forgiven, that they don't need to accept God's judgment , and that when the Lord comes they will be directly brought into the kingdom of heaven. Is this notion in keeping with God's words ? Does believing in the Lord and having one's sins forgiven really qualify someone to enter the kingdom of heaven? What exactly is involved in God's Work of judgment in the last days? What does it have to do with man being raptured into the kingdom of heaven? The magnificent St. Vitus Cathedral leaves in awe visitors and locals alike. The very image of the Cathedral reaching the heavens before you as you walk in from the second to the third courtyard is breathtaking. Just as you go around the building, you are surprised by another exquisite piece of art: The Golden Gate. Dating back to the 1370s and built by Charles IV’s favorite architect Peter Parler, this three-arched portal was the final stop on the Royal Coronation Route of the Kings of Bohemia. The central part of the glorious portal is dominated by a 82m² mosaic showing the Last Judgment.

This year is a miss for me… but even if I were in NYC, I would have to work all four days… unless, for some reason, my trip would not happen, so it’s 💯 miss.
I always loved books & this sweater was perfect for the place.
I grew up in a small town in Ukraine where we had only two TV channels, both quite dull. There were no activities for kids, just one museum, and very few places to go. I spent most of my free time reading and making up stories alone or with friends. At times, I would also knit things that my grandma taught me. During the school year, I would spend time in my mom’s pharmacy or my grandma’s high school French class, which was located across the street from where I lived. Thus, every activity I engaged in was educational.
I believe that books are underrated. It takes a tremendous amount of effort to create one. During the winter of 1994, when I lived with my grandparents, I spent hours writing. It takes a lot of dedication to write more than five pages.
My English teacher friend asked me today why I didn't consider becoming an English teacher as my profession. The answer is simple: it’s not that I don’t like the idea—in fact, I do. However, I’m concerned about my accent. I believe that to be an effective English teacher, one needs near-perfect pronunciation. Since I moved to the U.S. when I was 12 and lived in Brooklyn, it made me worry that achieving that level of proficiency is something I might never attain, and that would be unfair to students.
Growing up in the Soviet Union, we were taught to be hard on ourselves and to be judgmental. Even 34 years later, that mentality is something I struggle to let go of. However, we were also taught to love books. During a time when the government restricted so much of everyday life, books became a source of hope for many people.
Also, My Ukrainian literature teacher was my grandparents’ neighbor. I loved to live with my grandparents because it meant I could walk to school with her and ask her questions, or she would tell me something interesting on the way to school. My mom always told me to leave her alone because she had enough of me in school.

One day, I read these words of God : “What God wants to see is that man’s heart can be revived. These ways that He uses to work on man are to continually awaken the heart of man, awaken man’s spirit, letting man know where they came from, who is guiding them, supporting them, providing for them, and who has allowed man to live up till now; they are to let man know who is the Creator, whom they should worship, what kind of road they should walk, and in what way man should come before God; they are used to gradually revive the heart of man, so man knows God’s heart, understands God’s heart, and comprehends the great care and thought behind His work to save man. When man’s heart is revived, they no longer wish to live the life of a degenerate, corrupt disposition, but instead wish to pursue the truth in the satisfaction of God. When man’s heart has been awakened, they are then able to make a clean break with Satan, no longer to be harmed by Satan, no longer to be controlled or fooled by it. Instead, man can cooperate in God’s work and in His words in a positive way to satisfy the heart of God, thus attaining fear of God and the shunning of evil. Only after my experiences did I finally understand that God had arranged these situations to awaken my heart and my spirit, and to get me to follow the right path in life of obeying God, fearing God and shunning evil, and to live in God’s blessings—all this was God’s painstaking effort! I thought back to what I’d gone through, from sinking into the quagmire of money and getting a serious illness to having the fortune to hear God’s gospel of the last days and coming before God, then once again going in pursuit of money and getting caught in Satan’s net. My brothers and sisters gave me fellowship about God’s words, I came to have some knowledge of the fact of God’s sovereignty over mankind’s destiny, and I also came to have some knowledge of Satan’s wicked purpose in using heretical fallacies to corrupt people, and only then did I begin to let go of money little by little, and I understood that only practicing God’s words and submitting to God’s sovereignty was the right path to follow in life…. In order to awaken my heart and to save me from being harmed by Satan, God paid such a painstaking price for me and He showed me mercy. Every step I took, whether I listened and was obedient, or whether I rebelled against and shunned God, God always used the most suitable means to save me. I truly came to appreciate how real God’s love is and how beautiful and good God’s heart is! Were it not for God’s salvation, I’d still be living in Satan’s snare, caught in a whirlpool of money, completely unaware of what Satan’s harm was turning me into. Coming to this appreciation of God’s love, I had a deep sense of what a true honor and what good fortune it was for me to be able to come before God—God had graced me and showed me favor! I wished only to spend more time and energy in the future attending gatherings, reading God’s words and worshiping God, to arm myself more with the truth, and to perform my duty well to repay God’s love. It was suggested that the interior of the 45 metre (147 ft) wide dome should be covered with a mosaic decoration to make the most of the available light coming through the circular windows of the drum and through the lantern. Brunelleschi had proposed the vault to glimmer with resplendent gold, but his death in 1446 put an end to this project, and the walls of the dome were whitewashed. Grand Duke Cosimo I de' Medici decided to have the dome painted with a representation of The Last Judgment.
This enormous work, 3,600 metres² (38 750 ft²) of painted surface, was started in 1568 by Giorgio Vasari and Federico Zuccari and would last till 1579. The upper portion, near the lantern, representing The 24 Elders of Apoc. Four were finished by Vasari before his death in 1574. Federico Zuccari and a number of collaborators, such as Domenico Cresti, finished the other portions: (from top to bottom) Choirs of Angels; Christ, Mary and Saints; Virtues, Gifts of the Holy Spirit and Beatitudes; and at the bottom of the cuppola: Capital Sins and Hell. These frescoes are considered Zuccari's greatest work, but the quality of the work is uneven because of the input of different artists and the different techniques. Vasari had used true fresco, while Zuccari had painted in secco.
During restoration work (completed 1995), the entire pictorial cycle of the The Last Judgment was photographed with specially designed equipment and all the information collected in a catalogue. All the restoration information along with reconstructed images of the frescos were stored and managed in the Thesaurus Florentinus computer system.

Beholding the Appearance of God in His Judgment and Chastisement

Like hundreds of millions of other followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, we abide by the laws and commandments of the Bible, enjoy the abundant grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and gather together, pray, praise, and serve in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ—and all this we do under the care and protection of the Lord. We are often weak, and often strong. We believe that all of our actions are in accordance with the teachings of the Lord. It goes without saying, then, that we also believe ourselves to walk the path of obedience to the will of the Father in heaven. We long for the return of the Lord Jesus, for the glorious arrival of the Lord Jesus, for the end of our life on earth, for the appearance of the kingdom, and for everything as it was foretold in the Book of Revelation: The Lord arrives, and brings disaster, and rewards the good and punishes the wicked, and takes all those who follow Him and welcome His return into the air to meet Him. Every time we think of this, we can’t help but be overcome with emotion. We are thankful that we were born in the last days and are lucky enough to witness the coming of the Lord. Though we have suffered persecution, it is in return for “a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory”; what a blessing that is! All of this longing and the grace bestowed by the Lord make us often sober unto prayer, and bring us together more often. Maybe next year, maybe tomorrow, or maybe even sooner when man does not expect it, the Lord shall suddenly arrive, and shall appear among a group of people who have been attentively waiting for Him. We are all contending with each other, none wanting to fall behind, in order to be the first group to behold the appearance of the Lord, to become one of those who shall be raptured. We have given everything, regardless of the cost, for the coming of this day. Some have given up their jobs, some have abandoned their families, some have renounced marriage, and some have even donated all of their savings. What selfless devotion! Such sincerity and loyalty must be beyond even the saints of ages past! As the Lord bestows grace upon whomever He wishes, and has mercy on whomever He wishes, our devotion and spending, we believe, have already been beheld by His eyes. So, too, have our heartfelt prayers already reached His ears, and we trust that the Lord will reward us for our devotion. Moreover, God was graceful toward us before He created the world, and none shall take away God’s blessings and promises to us. We are all planning for the future, and take it for granted that our devotion and spending are bargaining chips or stock for our rapture into the air to meet the Lord. What’s more, without the slightest hesitation, we place ourselves on the future throne, presiding over all nations and all peoples, or ruling as kings. All this we take as a given, as something to be expected.

Through reading God’s words and through the sister’s fellowships, I came to understand God’s work and His will. I nodded, feeling deeply moved, and I said, “Thanks be to God! Through listening to the word of Almighty God, I have come to understand that, in the last days, God uses the truth of His word to carry out the work of judging and cleansing man. My past pursuits were so vague and unrealistic. The world will never be the same again. America was destroyed by God’s judgment. Indeed, earth-shattering calamity befell America. It was so terrifying that we all trembled.
The economy collapsed and violence erupted. Rioting and looting broke out across America. Fires consumed America’s cities; armoured vehicles rolled through the streets. The world was shocked by the violence in New York City. Thousands of fires burned throughout the city, and the National Guard lined its streets.
Eventually things calmed down for a short time. Then all of a sudden, from the middle of the country, groups took up arms against the government. While the government was distracted, the Russians attacked. They made their move when America was weak and vulnerable. They launched nuclear missiles and the U.S. went up in flames. Unexpectedly, in one hour, a nuclear holocaust engulfed them. California, New York, and Florida were destroyed in seconds—like Sodom and Gomorrah.
The Russians crossed over to Alaska. They came down through Canada—where I am from. They headed south, toward the city of Seattle and toward the eastern United States. They also landed on the beaches. I even heard rumours that Chinese troops were on the ground.
The battle in America was fierce. They were fighting for their lives. There was no hope for them. Yet, in the end, they cried out to the God of their fathers. God had compassion on them, and they were able to drive their enemies from the land. America, however, was left in utter ruins. Now, they are weak and impoverished; their cities are heaps of rubble. America is nothing; it is no longer of any significance.
Vladimir Putin turned away from America. He then set his face toward Israel for the Battle of Gog and Magog—just as the Bible says: I will turn you around; I will put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army. Yes indeed, Russia advanced like a storm, like a cloud covering the land. Along with them were Turkey, Iran, Sudan, Libya, and many others. But God sent a great earthquake to shake the land of Israel. He threw them into a panic, and they turned and kill one another. They fell dead on the mountains of Israel, because God executed judgment on Gog and all his hordes with pestilence and bloodshed.
The First Seal; a Rider on a White Horse; a great peacemaker; a charismatic politician from Europe stepped onto the scene, saying, “Peace and security.” This man accomplished what his predecessors could not: he negotiated a peace treaty in the Middle East between Israel and the Arabs—just as it is written: he will confirm a covenant with many for one week. So Israel signed the seven year peace deal and started building the Temple. Remember what Jesus said, “I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive.”
Bloodshed, calamity, and death—oh what fun. Wars, famines, and plagues—God’s judgment has come. Then I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and because of the testimony which they had given. Heaven and earth shakes: falling stars and earthquakes—every mountain and island was removed from its place. Then the kings of the earth, the officials and generals, the wealthy and powerful, and everyone, slave and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. “Fall on us!” they yelled to the mountains and to the rocks. “Hide us from the face of the One who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, because the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?”
One-third of the earth was burned up, one-third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up. One-third of the sea turned into blood. One-third of all the sea creatures died, and one-third of the ships were destroyed. One-third of the rivers and springs turned into wormwood, and many people died from drinking the water. One-third of the sun, one-third of the moon, and one-third of the stars were struck so that one-third of them turned dark. One-third of the day was without light, and also one-third of the night. Woe! Woe! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth, for the worst is yet to come.

Remember that charismatic politician, the one who brokered the peace treaty with Israel three and a half years ago? Well, as you can see, he is the Antichrist. It is true! With one mind they gave their power and authority to the Beast. He was given authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation. Every kind of satanic power, sign, and false wonder was performed to deceive the people, because they had rejected the truth that would save them. Indeed, the Beast was mortally wounded but came back to life, and the whole world was amazed and followed him. They set up an image in honor of the Beast, and life was given to the image. The image was able to talk, and it killed all who did not worship it. And all people were forced to receive a Mark on their right hand or forehead, because no one could buy or sell without the Mark of the Beast. They worshiped the Dragon—that old serpent, who is the devil, Satan—because he had given authority to the Beast. Remember what Jesus said, “When you see the Abomination that causes Desolation (the image of the Beast) standing in the Temple, then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains!”
Horrible, painful sores broke out on those who had the Mark of the Beast and who worshiped his image. Their wickedness caused them even greater calamity. The sea, rivers, and springs became like the blood of a corpse, and everything in them died. “For they have shed the blood of the saints and prophets, and You God have given them blood to drink as they deserve.” The sun scorched people with fire, searing them with intense heat. They blasphemed the name of God, who had power over these plagues, and they did not repent and give Him glory. Darkness fell upon the Beast’s Kingdom, and people gnawed their tongues in agony, yet they still refused to repent of their deeds. Then the great Euphrates River dried up to prepare the way for the Kings of the East, who were marching towards God’s judgment.
The nations of the earth prepared for war; world supremacy was on their minds. Flashes of lightning, roars of thunder, and hundred pound hailstones fell from the sky. The worst earthquake in human history shook the world to its core. Every island sunk, every mountain crumbled, and every city collapsed. Then the Beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies marched out for the Battle of Armageddon. Fire burned before them, and blood, fire, and billows of smoke followed behind them. They surrounded Jerusalem, and the city was captured. The light of the sun and the moon were darkened, and the stars did not shine. When the next day came, the daylight remained darkened. It was a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness. It was a unique day, with no difference between day and night. But mark my words, when evening comes, there will be light!
Behold, the Day of the Lord is here! The Great Day of His wrath has come, and who can endure it? Heaven opened, and there came a Rider on a white horse. He is called Faithful and True—the King of kings and Lord of lords. The Beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies waged war against the Rider on the white horse. But a great panic from the Lord came upon them, and they turned and killed one another. Then a sword came from the mouth of the Rider, and the flesh of His enemies rotted while they stood on their feet—their eyes rotted in their sockets, and their tongues rotted in their mouths. Outside Jerusalem blood flowed for one hundred and eighty miles. As for the Beast, he and his cohort were thrown alive into the Lake of Fire. Now the Lord Jesus Christ rules and reigns on earth. Amen and Amen!
