Today I got a paper in the mail from the cardigan museum. I'm invited for the jobinterview! It'll be later this week...

To stimulate my luck I've been wearing a cardigan to work everyday now. And today even two. My boss noticed. She said I looked very smart in my cardigans. I blushed...

As I'm a bit nervous for the jobinterview (because I really want the job), I'm testing which of my cardigans (I own around 12) are the smartest, styliest, prettiest and most comfortable.

I still don't know what to wear to the interview as I don't know how they'll judge me. I guess I need lots of advise.

What do you think of this combination?

Yes, I actually carried my Nikon FG 35mm camera in my briefcase during this interview along with several copies of my resume and a cover letter. While waiting for Mr. Richardson, I quickly snapped this shot of the lounge.

Well well, I`ll try to smile as cute as I can and maybe they wont notice..

edit: dear all, thank you for your friendly remarks - but this picture could also be called: "protect me from what a want"... the job interview was years ago and I was very disappointed when I got a negative answer. But a few weeks later I found a job which suited me a lot better... and when I saw this bicycle I was ever so glad that this is not my parking place...

It started out as a tough interview. Audrey wanted to make sure Owen was up for the challenge of one photo a week for 52 weeks.

He brought his resume’ which showed he had experience.

Also wanted to say thanks for all the comments and faves! I've got a couple of pictures on explore now because of you guys! Thank you!

Today I'm not doing to much again... Though I am going to prepare for tomorrow! Jobinterview of sorts...

Have a nice one you guys!

job interview that didn't go well...

Inevitable Question 19e:

What did your previous employer think of you?

My last boss often told me that my IQ was much, MUCH bigger than my boobs!!

So yesterday I described my elation for finding a job. What I didn't mention was how I got that job. I had an interview on the phone with a national director for Grassroots Campaigns at 10AM on Wednesday morning.

Here's my little secret: I was still sleeping when the phone rang at 10:00.

I completely forgot about the interview when I set my alarm the night before. I had pushed back a weekly meeting I had at 10:30 to make room for the interview. When I set my alarm, I was thinking about how nice it would be to sleep in for once on a Wednesday, totally forgetting about why I had pushed back the meeting.

I only woke up because I heard my phone vibrating on my desk. I missed the call and dialed back within about 5 seconds. I got through and spent an hour doing a job interview on the phone in my underwear. Of course, I did not inform my potential employer about why I had originally failed to pick up the phone.

They say that if you dress the part for an interview, you speak with more confidence. I guess I was speaking with more comfort instead. Apparently it worked because they offered me the job!

For Flickr Group Roulette: ...Our little secret

Done! My very first Los Angeles job interview was scary and nervewracking, but I handled that shit!!!! In fact, I even got a job offer out of the thing...but had to decline because of sketchy situations, annnd I wasn't willing to start ASAP.

Sorry. Gotta make sure my current (awesome) jobs get proper notice.

Hopefully the next one...

We’re looking for someone who is responsible.

Another two interviews today and some serious speed marching up and down the Kings Road. Bear in mind next time you see a woman striding out in heels looking all composed; inside she is wincing with every step. Ankles and toes being pummelled and assaulted. The reason they march so purposefully and are unwilling to slow down or stop is because as long as you keep walking the pain is so constant that it can almost be ignored, pause for a crossing and that fleeting instant of relief makes the pain even worse once you get back up to full speed.

Then I’m definitely the right person for the job. In my last job, whenever anything went wrong, they said I was responsible.
