Jobhunting. Brainscratching, figuring out how to find a new job that doesn't make me miserable, pays at least comparable to what I make now and.... doesn't make me miserable.

I'm also completely obsessed with yellow right now. I need some yellow sneakers. Yes, need. A perfect yellow sundress would make me quite happy (thrifted, of course).

Happy = good

Not happy at work = v.bad

Happy wife = Happy husband

Fulfilled point #4 today. I always drive reckless, that's a given. But I also tend to be a compulsive spender. Not crazy-like, dropping thousands. Just mildly irrational, getting a bug up my ass about something and having to have it...NOW!!! Today it was a new lens. Not a really nice one but something that fulfills something I wanted. A fast mid-range zoom to replace the D50 kit lens. I settled for a 28-70 f/2.8 Tokina. No idea how quality it is, but the price was right for a mere $160 Bargain rated at KEH. I was like a kid on Christmas picking it up. Had to squeeze off a few shots. Got this crapola one and photoshopped the shit out of it. I sort of like it now...

Yeah, so go ahead condemn me for splurging and making myself happy. If only for a day...

Though I've gone above and beyond the penny-pinching efforts lately, I treated myself to a little lunch out in the world today after scheduling three job interviews. I'd just left one, and had one later. I should have been rushing crosstown to one in the middle, but the boss was a douche on the phone so I had coffee instead. I'm scared, but I felt pretty good.

My new sandals pinch my feet. I've got bandaids on both of my little toes. They were only $10.

A "good" week in the jobhunting game.... 3 interviews complete.... one was final shortlist interview plus other two were introductory ones. Feel hopeful for a change.... the shortlist one is actually a job I want to do, plus think I have a fair chance...... Of course I have been in final 2-3 candidates about 4-5 times already over last 3-4 months & not had a job offer - so my prediction skills pretty poor.
