This "jet propelled boat" works by putting a tiny bit of methylated spirits in the reservoir which feeds through a wick and by some miracle of surface tension makes it move...the instructions are quite complicated ..including soaking off any floating impurities off the water surface with a newspaper
-powercraft for indoor use
-no heat required
-absolutely harmless

Another view of a JET Airways triple 7 on finals into Heathrow. Also this seems to work if you crop out the ground and do a pano format.
Note to Flickristas - airport police will stop you and run your license and tags if you stand 40 feet under an approaching jet to shoot its undercarriage. :)

Now displaying the unsightly yellow warning flash, LSL Blue Pullman HST (High Speed Train) Class 43 055 leads 43 046 "Geoff Drury 1930-1999/Steam Preservation and Computerised Track Recording Pioneer" slowly through Wakefield Kirkgate due to a signal check. This was a near thing, photography wise, as a Northern Sheffield service was due at the same time, seconds to spare!
The LSL HST was taking the Midland Pullman Barrow-in-Furness to Whitby "Whitby Jet" tour. The train left at 05:20 and was due to arrive at 13:00, a long journey. After only 90 minutes, they would be on their way home.
There's always a Buddleia growing on the railway!
