The Luftwaffe still had Alpha jets in 1993. The end of the Cold War meant the end of the Alpha Jet. The last one left the military in 1997.

First flown in Jan-09 with the Airbus test registration F-WWSC, the aircraft was ferried to the Airbus airfield at Hamburg-Finkenwerder for interior fitting out and painting.
It was delivered to Singapore Airlines as 9V-SKI in Jul-09. The aircraft was withdrawn from service and stored at Singapore at the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Mar-20.
It was moved to Alice Springs, Australia in Apr-20 for continued long term storage. The aircraft never re-entered service and was broken up at Singapore in Nov-22.
See a jet stream speeding through Jupiter’s atmosphere in this new view taken by NASA’s Juno spacecraft. The jet stream, called Jet N2, was captured along the dynamic northern temperate belts of the gas giant planet. It is the white stream visible from top left to bottom right in the image.
The color-enhanced image was taken at 10:34 p.m. PST on May 23 (1:34 a.m. EST on May 24), as Juno performed its 13th close flyby of Jupiter. At the time the image was taken, the spacecraft was about 3,516 miles (5,659 kilometers) from the tops of the clouds of the planet at a northern latitude of 32.9 degrees.
Citizen scientists Gerald Eichstädt and Seán Doran created this image using data from the spacecraft’s JunoCam imager.
JunoCam's raw images are available for the public to peruse and process into image products at:

A concept Art rendition of what a more private Mach 2 Jet could have looked like in the late 70ies. Powered by 3 Turbines and seating 10 passengers on a record speed trip between local airports.
This is purely fictional and the background is very poorly hand drawn ;)

Lining up on 08R at Gatwick Airport as BA2205 to Punta Cana (PUJ) 23-10-2016
One year on from the events at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (08-09-2015). G-VIIO was in the initial stages of the takeoff roll the crew aborted takeoff due to a no. 1 engine failure. After coming to a stop on the runway, a fire developed on the left hand side of the aircraft between the no. 1 engine and the fuselage. A Mayday was issued and an evacuation of the aircraft was carried out on the runway with minor injuries reported. The fire was extinguished within five minutes of the mayday call.
An NTSB statement blamed failure of the "stage 8–10 spool in the high-pressure compressor section...liberating fragments that breached the engine case and cowling" on the GE90 engine.
Boeing had assessed the aircraft and determined the damage was limited and suitable for repair. A team from Boeing completed the repairs in February 2016. Airworthiness tests were conducted on the aircraft on 25 February 2016. G-VIIO was flown to Victorville the following day, where it was repainted. The aircraft was then flown to Cardiff on 15 March for a routine C check. Finally, it returned to its London Gatwick base and resumed passenger service on 24 March.
