Just made a print of this for a camera club competition.

It will be interesting to see how it does.

Update....

The judge liked this image of Jess. He gave a lot of positive comments and suggested that it could be entered for the next N&EMPF competition. - it was ‘held back’ for the final judging of the best images of the night. 😀

It scored 18/20

Update to the update…..

Another judge, in a different competition only awarded it 15/20….

- one of the lowest of the night??????

How can they be sooooo different?

Colin and I were wandering around Sloane Square when we spotted The Saatchi Gallery. We walked over but it was closed for a private fashion function so we couldn't go inside.

As we walked back towards the road I saw Jess approach and immediately leapt at the chance to ask her for a picture. She had her scarf around her head framing the most amazing eyes and great skin that I could immediately see the image I wanted.

Jess was carrying some coffee's back into the gallery but was more than happy to stop and join in. Colin took on coffee holding and reflector holding duty and I went to work using the nearby wall of the gallery.

At first we were facing the other way but I spotted a drainpipe coming out of her head running the image so we turned around and the security guard nearby seeing the shoot moved behind the wall to allow us to take the photos.

Jess was from Glasgow (like me) and was a lovely girl, softly spoken, warm and friendly - an absolute pleasure to meet. She works in fashion and knowing it was probably busy inside and her coffee would be getting cold I gave her my card and headed on my way.

I also have a portrait version I took at the same time that I will post to my flickr stream tomorrow, Jess was my favourite portrait of the day.
