This image reminds me a lot of any Hindi (bollywood) movie set up. In the colorful markets of Jayanagar, Bangalore where I have been to for a bit of shopping. There are some lovely street snaps ready to be taken there.
I have been in such a fix( that's why took 3 days to decide on posting this). For today's shot I had a set of 3 shots to chose from. More like a Sunday special, but I preferred an outdoor shot today because it seems impossible for me to post a outdoor shots on weekdays. Sigh I had a couple of good shots of Sunday brunch, but I think I will compose that again sometime during these 365 days. How difficult to select a shot.

Bengaluru, and in that south Bengaluru, was the recipient of very heavy rain accompanied by high winds, on 30 April 2015 and 2 May 2015. Lots of trees uprooted; electrical services impacted for almost 2 days in many parts of Jayanagar and J P Nagar. What is visible is a portion of the trees, after having been cut, being stored on an empty plot in J P Nagar I Phase. If trees have feelings, was wondering what the trees that are still standing on the periphery of the plot would be thinking about their fallen comrades? Would they be thanking their roots for having dug in deeper; or patting themselves for being more resilient in having survived those heavy winds? What do they think...if only we knew...

this weekend shoot was to be at the 4th and 9th block Jayanagar market but we all agreed to visit the Banshankari Temple and the market around it instead
Alas.. i am not very happy with the images. This is the first time I shot with the 50mm and experimented with portraits and varying depth of fields.
Forgive me if the images are not upto the mark :(
This is a documentary of a Sport-for-Development project of Beyond the Rim.
This project at Jayanagar for ‘children-in-difficult-circumstances’ (i.e.child labourers, street children, sexually abused children, those living in institutions etc) offers a basketball program for working children (mostly girls) in partnership with Stree Jagruti Samiti, a grassroot movement that works with adolescent girls and on the issue of child labour in the surrounding slum communities. Most of the participants work as domestic help but also manage to go to school. Presently, this is a weekend activity where essential lifeskills are sought to be imparted through Sport.
