The quality is not the same as my other captures on my other Hawaii photo's. These guys are small and fast and so focusing on them is quite difficult.
The Java Sparrow is 17 cm in length. The adult is unmistakable, with its grey upper parts and breast, pink belly, white-cheeked black head, red eye-ring, pink feet and thick red bill.
Both sexes are similar, but immature birds have brown upper parts and paler brown under parts and cheeks. The rest of their head is dark grey rather than black, and the bill is grey with a pink base.
The call is a chip, and the song is a rapid series of call notes chipchipchipchipchipchip.

b. I believe Java Chip is the Vera Bradley bag in blue and brown, which is my favorite combo.
c. this is old. and idk what i was doing while editing it because i made it super soft, but whatevs. its a mirror picture.
d. got home at 6am this morning after being woken up at 4am at the hotel in NY for a fire alarm. Best part? it happened the night before at 1:45am! fun stuff. not. we just packed up and left. they comped us a night though.
e. i keep getting sick and my allergies are killing me. but im surviving.
f. school is almost over, warmth is almost here, then i'll be back on Flickr. Promise.

I bought one of those tennis ball launchers the other day.... I thought to myself why don't I have one of these I use to.... after the first throw I remembered... How can a dog that is so gentle retrieving birds be so hard on tennis balls???? After the first thow Java's tennis ball was a scrunch ball! If you view this photo large size you will see the tennis ball is not really round anymore! ...silly boy!
