It always impresses me how much differently Velvia 50 on my 6x17 camera captures a shot compared to my D800e. It's also so much easier to shoot seascape panos - no frustrating wave stitching issues :)

Isolation has a lot of us returning for creative endeavors and hobbies left behind. To match this weeks theme of isolating a subject, I tried to focus on my partner working on her cross stitch project.

There's a certain detail seen here...
The pen must have slipped to the side
and left a stain
next to his name.
She knows he's gone.
And isolation
is all that would remain.

Jeju Island has become an increasingly popular tourist destination over the last couple of years. Tour buses crisscross the island, visiting some of the more popular attractions. Thankfully, there are still pockets of paradise devoid of crowds. This piece of coastline is one such gem.
“Isolation Rework Three” with Phoenix Winters. This is part of a collection of older images I’ve given a new 2020 rework to, while no new projects can be undertaken. Stay safe!
My toy hasn't left the driveway since November 2019 - 26 months - and I wouldn't take it out at this time of year But ... my mind has been working overtime and imagining it sitting in a winter scene like this. The Covid 19 - Delta and Omicron versions are to blame because I do not take it out when there are clouds in the sky during the summer. Good bye Covid - come quickly summer !!

The bleak, lonely and isolated Corrour Station is at the end of a lenghty and partially un-metalled road, which means that the easiest access is by train! Unusually, on 11th October 2008 the overnight sleeper from London Euston arrives in the station and finds a steam-hauled charter working already in situ, and awaiting the Sleeper's passage. It is hauled by DB Cargo No. 67007, and will stable in Fort William throughout the day along with the stock, prior to returning to Edinburgh later that evening.
