And yet some of the littlest flowers survive. Like this little white and green one, which was hanging down in the main part of the garden. There were dozens of these little flowers on the plants that had weathered the storm well. Each flower with its delicate white petals and green spots. I’m sure these plants have a name, but it wouldn’t change the way these flowers look filling up a garden. A simple reminder that no matter what, there’s always a chance for a beautiful spring day, filled with brightly coloured flowers, fragrant plants, and lots of other things just waiting to make me start sneezing.

Cregneash is an isolated village set on the Mull Hills above Spanish Head. Until the start of the 1900's, the village had not been effected by technology. It was one of the last places to hear a native Manx Speaker. Eager to preserve the Manx traditions the small village was acquired over time by the Manx National Heritage to be made into an living museum. The first acquisition was Harry Kelly's cottage which opened to the public in 1938. Since then many more sites within the village and surrounding area have been added to the museum.

Much of Cregneash village is part of the Living Museum, but there are still a few homes with villagers living modern village life. The village church holds normal services on a Sunday and the tea rooms offer refreshment to locals as well as visitors. Cregneash is a village alive with history and holding a promising future.

Active Assignment Weekly - Some of the best photographs evict great feeling for the viewer. This week, let's see some photos that convey the sense of isolation.

Restriction: None that I can think of, you can be as creative as you'd like.

Dare: Take a photograph of more than one person that still conveys isolation.

An isolated library lies hundreds of meters away from a popular beach resort usually packed with tourists in Nandaihe, North China’s Hebei province. The library, built for public use, is also a nice place to watch the waves and tides.

May 18, 2018. I got out on the bicycle today for a 47km ride to St. Isadore and back, taking some side trips on some back roads. Nice ride; it felt good, though it was still too cold.

Bayanzag means "rich in saxual (trees)", which appeared black in the photo. It is famous for the massive findings of fossils in Mongolia by American paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews. In reality, there are no fossils to be seen here, and the "Red Flaming Cliffs" were not wowing. It does serves as a breaking stop enroute to the Gurvan Saikhan national park. Captured with Olympus Dramatic Tone Art Filter.

Skies looking stormy! Isolated storms were possible from a departing, strong storm that had flooded our area the last 24 hours or so. This storm was a textbook storm, being that it was indeed one of the wettest storms we had in years. Pics taken from around San Jose, CA. This day, we were behind the main cold front, in the unstable airmass of the low pressure area, or storm system. The instability had fueled thunderstorms and cumulonimbus clouds. A weak tornado has also hit SoCal this same day! (Friday afternoon, December 12, 2014)

**Weather scenario and notes:

A powerful storm fueled by a stream of tropical moisture called the "Pineapple Express", or atmospheric river, had battered not only drought-stricken California, but also the entire West Coast with damaging winds and enough rain to cause flooding and landslides. The strongest storm so far this season and in the last four to 10 years for California had delivered drenching rain to hard-hit drought areas, along with the risk of damaging winds, flooding and mudslides. Also, the waters just off the California coast were unusually warmer than usual. Indeed, the unusual warmer water temperatures get factored into the El Nino forecasts and the warmer water does provide more moisture for the storms moving onto the west coast, including the big one that just hit, and was still barely leaving our area this day. The low pressure trough (or the swirling, unstable center of this potent system), was still over our area this day and we saw showers this day, some with locally heavy rainfall. By Saturday and part of Sunday, a weak high pressure ridge was to be along the coast and we were to see partly cloudy skies. By Sunday night and Monday, another low pressure trough and frontal system was to move through the area, followed by a slightly stronger system Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday. Talk about making up for the drought here in California!

Was out in the middle of harbour and noticed that water was becoming shallow. There was a massive sand bank smack bang in the middle of no where. Had to get out and push the boat as our body weights was bottoming out the boat.

There are 7,100 islands in the Philippines. And more would appear when the sea is at low tide. As we travel from one island to the next, the people that we meet speaks different dialects and welcome the visiting arrivals with distinct manner of speaking and intonations true to their own group or clans from Urban areas, the towns and isolated islands to the next.

Over all the Filipinos are known for their hospitality which is made more distinct and magnified by culture values and traits coming from the people living in the hinterlands where most tourist destinations are located.
