After 2 hours wrestling with my tomato plants, which had been taken down by the weekend's monsoon, I got on the road to the beach around 2 yesterday. Knowing I was missing most of the day, I took my time and stopped for some photos. Like this one.

The propeller Islander was used as a general cargo vessel, a Mackinac Island ferry, and a lumber boat before being abandoned in the Cheboygan River. The hulk was raised and relocated to Duncan Bay to make room for the Coast Guard station where the cutter Mackinaw resides today. The Islander lies along the sandy edge of the drop-off on the Duncan City side of the bay, just north of the channel to the Duncan Bay Yacht Club.
