Most fans hate the fisherman, but it is a classic logo of the Islanders. Note the big paint chip down low. It can be seen on numerous pictures of the mask and started as a small chip that grew by the final game to this size.
Islanders-Rangers in a pre-season battle. Filled with fights galore, these two NY teams do not like each other. Isles won in overtime 5-4.

The local parachute club used this Islander, with doors removed, for static line jumps & skydiving. A couple of years later I did a static line jump from this very aircraft & managed to walk away from my landing.
A Talair Britten-Norman Islander that had got caught in a wind shear whilst landing on a remote uphill strip out in the bush somewhere. An Australian air force Chinook brought it back to Goroka one Saturday. It had suffered quite extensive airframe damage when it got slammed against the runway originally.
