This was a difficult shot to make due to bright light on the day. As I took no other shots of the Convict Barracks, I decided to edit this, my first image in Aurora, one of the Skylum team products.

I then did some minor tweeks in Luminar Neo. It's not a great image but it at least provides a memory of the scene.

Take the bull by the horns, except this bull does not seem to have horns, but is equipped with an exhaust system ........

Amazing piece of art in metalwork.

There are loads of little scenes around the many stands that must take a huge amount of effort to create but this was beach buggy time !!

Image created from a video in Microsoft Image Composite Editor (MSICE)

I've finally reached the end of posting images of our April 2022 driving trip around Tasmania. While we'd been there several times previously this was the first time we'd taken our own car over. It costs a bit more, however, I'd certainly always do that again, should we return at some stage in the future.

The photos to come for the remainder of this trip will be those taken in Victoria and Southern NSW as we make our way back home via off the beaten track towns and villages, and often on quite isolated gravel roads.

The next 8 images, including this one, are the last of my images taken in Tasmania during our April 2022 16 day trip.

The next 8 panorama images, including this one, have only recently been created from videos taken during our trip, some very early on in the trip.

Recently I was editing an image in Microsoft Image Composite Editor, something I haven't done for a while. I noticed that the software now allows creation of panoramas from videos.

As I'd taken many videos on this trip, I decided to try it out.

Luckily the very first couple I tried, (including this one shown above), worked fantastically well, however the next few failed because obviously it's necessary to pan the camera horizontally while videoing to ensure continuity of the images being composited in the panorama.

I clearly didn't do this with most of my videos so a great many of my attempts using MSICE failed to generate the desired panorama.

Fortunately, 8 videos met the necessary criteria, though one or two are by no means perfect. I have decided to post them anyway, even with their imperfections.

The lesson I've learned of course is that if one wishes to create panoramas from videos then it's essential to maintain the camera as horizontally as possible.

The use of a tripod would definitely make this task much more reliable but unfortunately, I'm not one for carrying a tripod around with me these days so I have to accept that I get what I get.

A few more shots of the Perelman Performing Arts Center. The facade installation should be completed soon. I'm surprised opening is scheduled for 2023. There must be a lot of internal construction to be done.

I was lucky enough to play on this televised production last Lear ( I played with EW&F). We were supposed to play with Kirk Franklin also but they didn’t need any horns. 😭😭😭

A behind the scenes look at my setup while shooting a S&Q time lapse on my A7IV and Laowa 15mm shift lens. I'm waiting for a back ordered L bracket for the camera. I assume this is one of those supply chain shortage items. Another camera gear item I was ready to buy six months ago was an iFootage slider, but it was also back ordered. It was $500 back then, but now it's available only in a bundle for $800. I'm not so keen on buying it now.

I edited this image external to Flickr in Microsoft photos to trim a bit off the end of it and when I tried to replace the original video I'd previously uploaded Flickr wouldn't allow it. I was therefore forced to upload it out of sequence. I wondered if anyone has a work around for replacing a video in its original location in the photostream.

Flickr's photo editor also doesn't permit editing of videos and

while all my jpeg photos geolocate, my videos always need to be geolocated manually it seems.
