Mr. Vanderblit's bathroom and closet. The bathtub is carved from a single block of marble, weighting 1,361 kg (3000 lbs). The bathtub has 4 faucets, the extra two are for hot and cold salt water, it was thought that bathing in salt water was good for your health. Staff had to heat the marble tub with hot water several times before it would be warm enough for bath water to stay hot.
The mansion has 20 bathrooms.

Leaving this area for the next place, on trips like this I just drive and see what I can with no real destination on my mind.

Crescent Beach is a rare type of beach barrier called a tombolo, approximately 2 km (1.24 mi) long and 40 to 65 m (131 - 213 ft) wide. It divides the head of Green Bay from the tidal flats and salt march of Dublin Bay.
A tombolo is a natural sand bar that heads straight off shore to an island. A tombolo maintains a fragile balance between a building up of sand deposited by wind (generation), and the erosion of sand through wave scouring (degeneration). Most tombolos are therefore mobile, constantly shifting in length and width. Many will eventually disappear completely.

Or, the footprints of two people who must have gotten on the bus before mine on this snowy night. Edited in Snapseed.
The photo & title make more sense if you’ve ever tried to learn to dance - the steps are printed like this, black on white. To me it looks like there was an approach from the left to pick up the person who had first stood waiting on the right...
Here the street was covered by fluffy snow, but the asphalt must have still been so warm that the snow melted when compressed by the weight of a step.
Revelation 19:9 “And he said to me, ‘Write as follows: “Blessed are those who receive an invitation to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.”’ And he added, still addressing me, ‘These are truly the words of God.’”

Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, dedicated to the unknown soldiers who have given their lives for Poland. The monument is the only surviving part of the Saxon Palace that occupied the spot until World War II. Since 2 November 1925 the tomb houses an unidentified body of a young soldier who fell during the Defence of Lwów. At a later date, earth from numerous battlefields where Polish soldiers have fought was added to the urns housed in the surviving pillars of the Saxon Palace.

I finally completed this outfit last year but just getting around to posting pics. The cups and saucers were not easy to find and it took me well over a year to piece this one together. Worth the wait as these tiny pieces are usually very pricey as a set. I was able to acquire them piece by piece for much cheaper. The Sindy furniture is from my Craigslist score a few years back and this is my first time photographing it as well. It is actually very good quality. It is the perfect setting for my Fashion Queen and Brunette Bubble's afternoon tea.

Portland Observatory was built in 1807. It is 26 meters (86 ft) high and served as a communication station for Portland’s harbour. It was a commercial venture designed to give a competitive edge to ship owners who paid a subscription fee of $5.00 a year to alert them when their ships were arriving. With a powerful telescope at the top of the tower, ships could be identify incoming vessels as far away as 48 kilometers (30 mi).

Good news! My photo called "INVITATION" is a part of an exhibition called Art and Soul being held at the San Luis Obispo United Methodist Church. The show runs from April 1st to May 1st and the opening reception will be held Friday, April 1, from 6-9 pm. Please come and enjoy the show. There are 113 works from 97 local artists being shown.
I took my photo "INVITATION" last July at the Lady Bird Johnson Grove of Redwood National Park in Northern California. This bridge takes visitors from the parking lot over the road and into the main Redwood grove. I arrived very early in the morning just as sun was trying to shine through the fog. When I turned around and looked back over the bridge, my breath caught. Such lovely light is a rare gift.
I haven't uploaded any still lifes for so long, it's time. Tulips on fine china with gold brim and spoons to symbolize the coffee or tea time.
