Does this make you feel like you're invited into the woods to go for an afternoon walk? It did me; like I wanted to just step right into it, hear the aspen leaves crunch under my feet, lift my face skyward to soak in the sun and watch the falling leaves. Fall bliss!

I have always loved shops that sell art materials, I adore the fragrance of oils and terms, brushes and paints. There are far less now, begs the question: WHY? Do people paint less? Less Art? It can be such an essential and therapeutic part in ones life!
I've painted as long as I can remember.
I believe if you are a creative it is never just in one field...

of strobic Willow and Ash
gliding across the lake
the tip of quivering lust
spun within our space opaque
shaded by Summer's virtues
slowly taken with Autumnal eyes
one blink, a signal; embraced!
light closes, yet the flame is bright
engulfed yet free, a Summer unlaced!

It is an interesting exercise to visualize what an image will look like in black and white. It makes us see differently. It is an additional step to visualize what and image will look like taken with an infrared camera. It’s a bit like seeing slightly different world, one where light behaves differently, one that always strikes me as a little magical. This trail seemed to me to be an invitation to that different, magical world when I saw it. Thanks for taking time to visit.
The black maned lion is off to do his duty once again. This is the mating pair of lions that we saw in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The female would get up, walk past the male and he would follow her and do his duty.

My friend, Rinku, is getting married in January. Her beeaaautiful wedding invitation arrived yesterday.
A few days ago Poppy received an invitation to tea.
She was thrilled at first but when she saw it came from Ginger her good mood vanished.
She decided to accept as it was the polite thing to do.
Ginger: -I didn't think you'd come, Drearie.
Poppy: -(drearie?)...the invitation didn't say it would be just the two of us...
G: -Please help yourself, Dear, I already ate all the biscuits I like.
P: -Thank y...Broccoli?! For tea?!
G: -You don't mind drinking tea in my nephew's milk mug do you? I use my best china only for special occasions...
P: -Sure...of course you do.
G: -Oh Dear! Would you mind sitting elsewhere? It's Kksss's favorite spot.
P: -Kksss??
G: -Why! yes my cat, Kksss.
P: -Oh. Well I must go now I...uuh... I already ate broccoli this morning.
G: -It was fun! We should do it more often!
P: -Should we?
