The Orchid Show is going on until March 15 but we got there too late and only looked at the outside. We will be back.
the evening light begins to soften and shift. it invites us to slow our pace, to linger. an invitation to be fully present as summer fades. because summer fades in beautiful, spacious ways.

In the ethereal embrace of a dense fog, the world transforms into a canvas of mystery and intrigue. Trees stand as silent sentinels, their branches reaching into the unknown, disappearing into the swirling vapors. In this obscured landscape, every step forward feels like a journey into the unknown, where familiar landmarks dissolve into whispers of uncertainty. Yet, within this enigmatic realm, there lies a beauty that transcends clarity, inviting contemplation and imagination to wander freely through the depths of the mist.
Isn't light invitational, it almosts draws you in by its illuminance. Walk on in and see for yourself.

this is an Autumnal glow
of strobic Willow and Ash
gliding across the lake
the tip of quivering lust
spun within our space opaque
shaded by Summer's virtues
slowly taken with Autumnal eyes
one blink, a signal; embraced!
light closes, yet the flame is bright
engulfed yet free, a Summer unlaced!

The black maned lion is off to do his duty once again. This is the mating pair of lions that we saw in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The female would get up, walk past the male and he would follow her and do his duty.

Mon exposition s'intitule "Celle qui n'a pas les mots..."
"Celle qui n'a pas les mots" est le titre d'un livre de Joël Vernet, écrivain contemporain français.
Un livre de réflexion sur l'absence.
L'auteur retourne sur les chemins de son enfance à travers la figure et le parcours de sa mère, murée dans le silence d'une fin de vie douloureuse.
Ce retour donne l'occasion à l'écrivain d'évoquer sa propre vision du monde.
L'absence est partout dans les images que je présente et pourtant la présence y est contenue. Des traces, une lumière, une fleur plantée là...
Perd-on nos parents, nos amis lorsqu'on cesse de les voir ? c'est une question très personnelle à laquelle chacun apporte sa propre réponse.
Plus généralement, l’homme s’est absenté : il prend le temps de respirer, de réfléchir; le temps de sourire. Il s’est absenté pour faire du temps, comme on dit en espagnol, "Hacer tiempo".
Mais il est là, présent : par ses traces quotidiennes, son humble obstination à vivre, même en silence, et son absence même de ce monde reste toujours une presence tant que nous penserons à lui, tant que nous l'aimerons. Toutes ces traces heureuses en nos coeurs.

Back in 2010, Isla Cozumel on the outskirts of the Yucatan coast of Mexico was still pretty quiet and mellow.
There was already the road that was going all around it, a half a dozen of hotels, the same amounts of bars and that was pretty much it.
On 90% of the territory, you could nearly feel like being one of the very few people on Earth.
I wonder what it's like 10 years later. Has it succumb to fast urbanization or is it still the pearl of the Carabeans I remember it to be?
Would really want an update here.
