"Dude, couldn't you use your RIGHT arm to throw darts?"
The moral to THIS story is never play darts with a guy who has a mechanical arm.
(Many thanks to my lovely boyfriend for all his mad Photoshopping skills, making this shot possible! Thank you, my love!)
This figure..er..package was given to me a few years back by a friend. I was very surprised, because up until then I didn't think it possible that a Universal Monster product made by Sideshow Toy could have escaped my radar. I was very obsessed with the stuff. All my buddy knew was someone had sent it to him, and he couldn't even remember who.
Supposedly this item is very rare. It really is a sealed package with accessories minus the Invisible Man figure. I don't know the item's origin, only that they are pretty scarce. I have researched it a bit, but it seems even Sideshow employees are sketchy on the information (Way to keep decent records of your products there guys!), but have confirmed it is authentic.
I saw someone on eBay trying to sell one for $200.00. He claimed in the item title that only five were made, and they were made for employees, but then in the description it said only three were made. I think both numbers are bullshit, and there were most likely more produced. It is very possible they were made for employees, and probably people Sideshow conducted business with at the time. If it had been a retailer exclusive, I, and many others, would know about it.
It does not surprise me that the guy's on eBay didn't sell for $200.00, even IF there were only five made. Though it is a really fun novelty, when it comes down to it, there is no figure (or IS there? muahahaha) and I don't see even the biggest Invisible Man fan paying that much for an empty (or IS it? muahahaha) package.
Sideshow are not the first to do something like this. They were obviously inspired by Invisible Jim, a figure I really wish I had. But then, maybe I do! :D
If anyone has any information on this Invisible Man, please let me know.

'Project Dallow 365'
Photo 241.
(Yes I realise there should be a back to the shirt,... but where is the fun in that? Result of a processing idea that got out of hand. That's 365 for you, no going back).
Growing up, my family spent every summer on Cape Cod. The family joke became that when in the presence of beauty: sunset on the beach, a pristine lake view, etc. I would immediately turn in the opposite direction and take a picture of the parking lot.
This photo was no exception. In the presence of great art and impressive architecture, I turned away from the Matisse and zeroed in on the security guard, my bird's eye view of him alone in the steady stream of visitors.
Just got back from a tiring day at work. Feeling a bit under the weather. As soon as I got home, even before I sat down...I quickly changed my clothes and went straight to bed...zzzzZZZZZZ

While Rocket gloated over always getting matched with Natasha, Murray cursed his luck for always getting matched with Bucky.
Day Twenty Seven:
I see you but can you see me? Well...um...yes. But at the same time no. But mostly yes. However for the purposes of this...erm...endeavour..yes endeavour. Mostly because I never get to use that word and yet I managed to spell it right first time. So woohoo for not getting the red wavy line of incorrectatude, a word which itself incurs the wrath of the red line. Probably because I just made it up. It's not a real word. Unless it lives in the invisible part of the dictionary, see what I did there? Managed to tangent it all the way back to the point.
The point being I'm not really here. While also being here. You'll have to imagine me naked for this part naked but you see nothing because I'm invisible. See yeah I give you something then I take it away. It wasn't really much to take but even a little sausage is a feast to some people. Maybe shouldn't have used "little sausage" as the metaphor there. But you can see me so you'll be imagining all kinds of invisible stuff. Oooh look at the thing floating in mid air.
The nudeness really is the only flaw in what would otherwise be a perfect power to have. It's so cold. Colder than a shaved mongoose in the Arctic. Oh gawd, oh gawd so cold. Think I'm going to have to be an indoor invisible man. Bugger, that "little sausage" analogy might still turn out to be true.

"It's really nice to meet you, Murray, but how about you take off that skeleton mask so I can see what you look like."
"Uh...."
"Did you retain the receipt for those?"
"Yes, Sherlock. I just bought them. Why?"
"Put your old shoes back on and take them back, immediately. I don't like them."
"But I just bou-"
"Take them back. Now."
"Yes, Sherlock. *sigh*"
"Here's to outrunning Logan after you stole his belt!"
"I thought he was gonna catch me for a minute there!"
"Cheers, mate!"

"Here, check this one out, Murray! I picked something up for you while you were posing for pics with those kids!"
"Oooo, where'd you find that one? I've been looking for that! You rock, Bucky!"
"I know."
Murray and Bucky had a great time at C2E2 comics convention.
"You have heart, Murray."
"Hey, Loki? Why are you talking to my shoes when I'm behind you, and why are you hanging outside the bath while I was having a shower?"
But it's not a dead one ... it's yet another unfortunate homeless one.

Hey, what are you up to, Murray?
"Oh, just writing a poem."
A poem? Alright, who is she?
"She's an angel. She's the sun, the stars, the moon and the sky. She's...Brooke..."
Isn't that the one you went on a date with last week?
"Yes."
Isn't a bit soon to write her poetry?
"Life is short, and love is grand."
Okay, then. Carry on.
In 1998, the Ralph Ellison Memorial Committee was established to plan a memorial celebrating Ralph Ellison’s legacy in the neighborhood he loved. The Riverside Drive island at 150th Street was chosen as the site for the memorial. Ralph Ellison’s last and long-standing home at 730 Riverside Drive faces the site, and Ellison often strolled in this section of the Park. In 1998, the committee along with Riverside Park Fund sponsored a design competition for the project. The panel’s vote was unanimous in favor of the design submitted by Elizabeth Catlett. The Ralph Ellison Memorial Project is her first commissioned public work in New York City. The Invisible Man sculpture is a 15 foot high, 7 ½ foot wide, six inch thick slab of bronze featuring a cutout silhouette of a man. His struggle, Catlett suggests, is universal, genderless, and timeless. The artwork is the centerpiece of a restored area of Riverside Park, surrounded by a dramatic setting of dogwoods and azaleas from 149th to 153rd Street.
Catlett began work on the sculpture in the summer of 2001 and the sculpture was unveiled on May 1, 2003. Ralph Ellison’s widow, Fanny Ellison, who still lived at 730 Riverside Drive attended the ceremony, along with artist Elizabeth Catlett, Bill and Camille Cosby, actress Ruby Dee, Reverend Calvin Butts of the Abyssinian Baptist Church and many local politicians and residents of the Harlem community. Benches in memory of Ms. Catlett’s husband, Mexican artist Francisco Mora, and in tribute to former City Council member Stanley Michels, who allocated the majority of City funding for the memorial, were also unveiled that day.

Following on the Fantastic 4 theme, this is my go at the invisible woman, just that I'm a bloke, the next two are going to be a challenge.
