noise

While our ears hear laughter
and our eyes see the pain
our nose smells the disgusting smell of old cigarette buds, alcohol and spilled food
and our tongues taste of forgotten love
What sense do we trust?
Do we trust what we see
or what we hear
or what we smell
or what we taste
Every day is a battle
somewhere down the line
we got to learn to trust
do the tango with life
following our intuition
my posting this month for The 12.12 Project's theme: Innsæi, which is Icelandic for "intuition" or "the sea within" (theme chosen by Ina, not me!)
in thinking of how to respond to this theme, i just kept my camera with me and drove along, hoping for inspiration to turn up -- and as i passed this spot, i just had a feeling... turned the car around, and relied on that inner intuition to find the image. so wonderful to respond to an Icelandic word here in Iceland!
