I decided to go back to Intramuros and take more shots. Here is another shot of The Manila Cathedral.
Intramuros is part of the old manila city...this cathedral has seen and survived all...from earthquakes, typhoons to wars !
I recently received this photograph that I find confusing. There is no date on it. The information that was pasted on the back is missing. I suspect it is from the late 1940s or 1950s but I am not sure. It is a wire news photo from the archives of the St. Petersburg Times. It was taken from a ruined building in the east part of Intramuros showing the Post Office, Santa Cruz Bridge, and area in front of the post office that had Quonset buildings. The Post Office building has no war damage showing so it must be after it was rebuild. I cannot perspectively invision this. Can anyone help? What is the ruined building the photo was taken from?
