Con danza, frutos de la tierra y música, la comunidad Fakcha Llakta (Tierra de la Cascada), en Otavalo, provincia de Imbabura, celebró la Fiesta del Sol (Inti Raymi). Esta vez, Elizabeth Cabezas, presidenta de la Asamblea Nacional, fue la prioste. El sonido de un churo alertó del inicio de la fiesta, que es la oportunidad propicia para renovar energÃas. Toma de la Plaza Central en Cotacachi. Durante la fiesta del Inti Raymi, las comunidades indÃgenas de las cercanÃas de la ciudad de Cotacachi, al norte del Ecuador, llegan a la ciudad a cumplir con la "toma de la plaza". Han esperado todo un año para celebrar esta festividad y lo seguirán haciendo hasta que les quede fuerza.
Cusco, Patrimônio Cultural do Mundo é um dos lugares mais visitados hoje em dia, pela quantidade de importantes restos arqueológicos e atrativos turÃsticos, Paredes Incas, coloridos trajes, igrejas construÃdas sobre palácios, cidadelas perdidas nas alturas dos Andes, lendários caminhos e toda a beleza de um glorioso passado que envolve aos visitantes que chegam ao Cusco; a cidade sagrada dos Incas e a capital arqueológica das Américas
