Thames Quay, Isle of Dogs. Can find no reference to this but assume that it represents Venus and Mars. My interpretation may well be way off though.
This is one of my favorite Cypress Tree shots. I love how so many flowers are growing around this tree’s trunk ,distant from the shore or any close neighbors. It’s interesting how four of us shot this lake for the same amount of time, saw the same trees and flowers and all had a significantly distinct vision and interpretation on how to communicate the beauty of the place in our work. I think everyone would see the beauty but making a good image out of the chaos of color and form is a challenge. Keep in mind, I’m only showing you ones I like, not the hundreds more that hit the trash heap. Unlike film, like one of my friends shoots (big expensive film up to 8 x 10), digital allows us to take as many as we like, which costs only time and not money. How are you doing out there. COVID has us all under control at the moment. But I don't want to grumble because I'm actually doing quite well. I can't say much about this photo here. I took the shot in Lisbon a few years ago. For me it belongs to the category cool, but I don't know exactly why. But it does not matter either.
The view remains stuck and there is a lot to discover.

Despite pleas from his father Charles Willson Peale, to forgo Still Life in favor of the more lucrative Portrait, Raphaelle Peale became one of the first Americans to make the still life his focus. Often a sense of anatomy augments his compositions. Here, the branches of the peach on the left might reference hungry fingers plucking a fruit. Although many artists depicted bountiful displays ,Peale generally focused on one or two types of fruit. While the fruits and porcelain basket are symbols of prosperity, Peale struggled financially. Whereas his brother was able to earn $100 a portrait, Peales averaged $15 for a still life.

DENALI - The Great One - That's the common interpretation of the native Athabaskan name for Mt. McKinley (since officially renamed), North America's highest mountain at 20,310 ft. in elevation. On a clear day the mountain can be seen from Anchorage 150 miles to the south and in Fairbanks 150 miles to the north and at many other points in between along the route of Alaska's own railroad. Nowhere is the view more spectacular than in the Talkeetna area where the summit is less than 40 miles distant as the raven flies.
Here the Alaska Railroad's southbound weekly passenger train, the Aurora (235S), has paused to give the lucky visitors a spectacular view across the frozen Big Susitna River near MP 224 on the ARR's mainline. Eight miles to the south of Denali (left in the photo) is the 14,573 ft Mount Hunter.

Looking at different interpretations of this scene, trying to hone in on what I want it to be.
I don't know why I keep lamenting the loss of Kodak's HIE, and thinking of Rollei IR as a weak facsimile. I've realized something: the Rollei film is more versatile, sharper, far more capable of preserving high value detail, and with a bit of careful effort, it can produce images similar to what HIE gives. I've compared this photo to the one I made last week (flic.kr/p/2m97GP9) using a very old roll of HIE, and this image is in many ways superior to the one made with HIE. I guess things aren't so bad after all. ;-)
This round is made with the Kodak Medalist II and Rollei IR 400, processed in Xtol.

In Tiedra, a town in Valladolid, they grow lavender. There is an interpretation center and there is also a very well preserved castle. Enough reasons to spend the afternoon in this town.
The Coso Petroglyphs have been subject to various interpretations as to their meaning and function. One perspective argues that the drawings are metaphoric images correlated with individual shamanic vision quests. Alternatively it has been argued that they are part of a hunting religion that included increase rites and were associated with a sheep cult ceremonial complex.[3][4] However these alternative explanations might be somewhat complementary in that the medicine persons could have been the artisans but their messages might have often been associated with religious observances centering on the veneration of bighorn sheep.[5]
In addition to the extant petroglyph rock art, the Coso People carried out extensive working of obsidian tools and other 'manufacturing.' There is considerable archaeological evidence substantiating trade of these products between the Coso People and other Indigenous peoples of the Americas and Native American tribes.[6] For example, distant trade with the southern Californian Pacific coast Chumash People is confirmed by archaeological recovery from California sites in San Luis Obispo County, California[7] and other coastal indigenous peoples' sites.
Big and Little Petroglyph Canyons are situated on property of the China Lake Naval Air Weapons Station. The two canyons are a designated U.S. National Historic Landmark. In 2001, they were incorporated into a larger National Historic Landmark District, called the Coso Rock Art District.[8]
In 2014, the Ridgecrest Petroglyph Festival was created as an annual celebration and showcase the petroglyphs located in the two canyons.

There's something called The Copenhagen Interpretation that posits that "things" at the subatomic level don't have any determined properties, only possibilities. A particle can be in two places at the same time, the atom can be in both an excited and unexcited state at the same time, and a photon can be both a particle and a wave.
What determines what we see is our measurement and observation,
Then all the probabilities collapse into one, the one being observed.
Schrodinger wasn't a fan of that theory, so he devised a thought experiment to show how absurd it would be to apply to the gross world of stuff.
He said imagine we put a cat in a box. Also in the box is a radioactive particle which might, or might not begin to decay and emit radiation. If it does, there's a gieger counter which will trigger the release of a noxious gas that will kill the cat.
Then we put a lid on the box.
But until someone opens the box, the cat is both alive and dead.
That's hugely oversimplified, but it's the layman's gist.

Marketa sings with the 'Mole's Wing' since they started playing. Most members of the orchestra keep their social media files thin and their lives private. Her last name is not important. She could be a star, but this orchestra may be only public place she sings.
Lead by Tomas Kozák (sax, clarinet), the 'Mole's Wing Orchestra', plays only every few months, so I was lucky to catch them in action in Oct, 2024. I seen them in 2023 and enjoyed their interpretation of the classic big band tunes. Their faces are young, but as far I have gathered, they met in a High School and the core group continues playing about 10 years. Some play music in other bands, some do not play music anymore, but come to support their friends. I do not remember all their names, but here are some of the musicians who make the big band sound really good.

Hawa Mahal is the tallest building in the world without a foundation. The five-storey building managed to maintain upright because of it is curved. Just another masterpiece of Rajput and Mughal architecture.

Anemone coronaria, poppy anemone popularly in English, is a species of flowering plant in the genus Anemone, native to the Mediterranean region.
In making these Macros, I discovered that some flowers have 'hairs, something I did not know nor expected!
Each time I think... that's it, there's only so much you can do with flowers... and yet again and again, I'll see something new.

Schwarzweiss-Interpretation des BraWOPark-Hochhauses in Braunschweig.
Das rund 75.000 m² große Grundstück mit dem als „Toblerone“ bekannten Hochhaus und Bürokomplex, welcher Ende der 80er Jahre durch Prof. von Gerkan für die Telekom entworfen und errichtet wurde, sollte für die Volksbank BraWo der neue Verwaltungssitz werden.
Anfang 2011 wurde der Bürokomplex saniert und somit zeitgemäße Büroflächen geschaffen.

These little devils are so small and so shy, they are very tough to spot and photograph. But when you are lucky enough to have a juvenile this close that is as hungry as show-off, you shoot like crazy!
