Here's Tane checking his phone right before jumping on the bus and heading to the next city photo walk: Paris! We're stopping in Geneva for the night on the long drive through the Swiss Alps and staying at the Hotel de la Paix Geneva. It's a bit rainy and moody outside, but hoping it clears up a bit. Lake Geneva looks pretty though! Maybe I'll just stay inside and eat chocolate.
Exploring Berlin - here's the historic Brandenburg Gate on a beautiful afternoon. I was here with Stu Davidson before he had to fly home to Scotland and leave our traveling band of artists. Thanks again Stu for all your help!
Here's another view of Beautiful Barcelona from top of the The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company Hotel Arts Barcelona looking back towards Columbus Circle. It's almost an above-view of everywhere we visited on the photo walk. Thanks again everyone for coming out... now headed to the Milan one but will stop in Nice, Eze, Monte Carlo and Cinque Terre.
I love visiting these European train stations... they never disappoint and always great subjects for HDR. Did you know my Original idea for this European tour was to get a private train car and attach it to different trains as we roll around to the photo walks? It was a great idea, but I didn't realize how expensive it was. Oh well, we're really happy with the bus!
Well that's a bold statement, I guess, because there are so many great restaurants that are part of hotels nowadays. But this one is certainly the most striking and unique in many ways. This is Berner's Tavern and it's part of The London Edition hotel there. If you want to see all the details in the paintings, it's worth zooming into the full-sized version on SmugMug

Here's a look inside the Cathedral atop Tibidabo, where we went last night to watch the sunset. It was a wild and blustery night... and quite cold. It was one of those nights where you stay around to take photos just as long as you can stand it... but it was warm and cozy inside here.
If you see my little "Coming to Milan" video on Facebook, you'll notice this as the same background in La Sagrada Familia. This spot is actually quite high up and I was taken up to the same area the Pope goes to! It was totally radical up here and there is a little secret passageway that goes all around the top level up here... very high and kind of scary! For those of you that are Passport members ( www.stuckincustoms.com/passport/ ), I'll show you this little passage!
Golden Steps down into the spa pool here at the Bulgari Hotel Milano . Every day has been a spa day here! :) We got off the bus to stay here for a few nights to prep for the big Milan Photo Walk, which is coming up tonight! Also, we'll do a live interview on Facebook from the hotel here when GQ Italy is coming over to talk to me about the tour. I'm not sure what the questions are yet... they'll be as surprising as the answers, no doubt! :)
The Blue Danube in Vienna! The big photo walk is tonight! Some of the bigger prizes are coming along too... we'll talk all about it when we meet out in front of our Flixbus during the pre-party at 6 PM! One of the biggest ones is we're choosing a few people to join me at the Hans Zimmer concert in Frankfurt. Many more great prizes too - stay tuned.
P.S. This is last night on the Danube... wow so many people... non stop party, food, and music along such a beautiful scene!
On the way to Budapest, we stopped in Prague, but only for one amazing evening. It was one of those times when the sun was illuminating the old city where there were dusky clouds arising from behind.
Just before crossing the English Channel, we stopped at the American Cemetery at Omaha Beach. There are about 10,000 crosses here - it is quite moving. This is a panorama made from 6 different shots from my Pixel phone.

During our photo walk, my friend Serge Ramelli came along and brought his great family. This is his daughter Marine on the famous lock bridge here in Paris.
Random Russia Photo 12/15. This gal was trying on different dresses and I had her turn towards me for a moment.

Part of the photo walk crowd crossing the street in Barcelona during our photo walk there. Full upcoming schedule at 80stays.treyratcliff.com/
Just arrived here in Berlin for the fun photo walk tonight! Our bus drove all night from Amsterdam to get here and just now checking into The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin. This is a photo of one of the bars here in the hotel called Fragrances - upon entry you pick your favorite fragrance then they make a special cocktail based on your choice. More info on the photo walk at www.facebook.com/events/1788776828116679/ and the overall tour at 80stays.treyratcliff.com/
Here's our videographer Olya Dendyaeva during a midnight walk around Geneva with Rene Smith and Tane Gent. We wandered around the old town... it was a little rainy but we had these sweet industrial-strength Blunt umbrellas made by my friend back in New Zealand to keep us dry.
We stopped along the Azure Coast in the French Riviera in Nice for a brunch with mimosas on the roof of this beautiful terrace. One thing is consistent with every place the crew is going - we always have all our laptops out on the table... this is one of those very squinty places where you can barely figure out what's on the screen. If you ever see four dudes with their laptops open having mimosas, it's probably us. We really own it though. If you zoom in, you can see Rene, Curtis, and Tane staring at their phones! Next stop, the small medieval mountaintop village of Eze for a lunch before we get tooooo hungry in the next 2 hours.
After a seaside lunch in Portugal, Rene, being the water bug he is, decides to make an epic jump off the dock.
We're now leaving Paris on the FlixBus bus and on the way to London. We're stopping in Normandy to take photos and have fun making some videos. But then we have to figure out how to get this bus on a ferry! It can't be too hard, right? After that, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Berlin, Wolfsburg, Vienna, Budapest, Moscow, and finally Frankfurt with Hans Zimmer and then back home to New Zealand. :)
Seen while rolling around London on our fun Mini Cooper tour! It's definitely a fun way to see the city... did the same thing in Rome and need to do this more! The company I used here was www.smallcarBIGCITY.com... a very fun two hours!
Thx again for coming to the London Afterparty - here's one of the photos that I shared from Burning Man during the little art talk - thanks again for all the great questions! Hope you enjoyed all the prizes and the new Peak Design Messenger bags!
Do you watch Chef's Table on Netflix? One night in Moscow we went to the famous White Rabbit restaurant - it's in the latest season! What a cool spot... there are pictures of these creepy rabbits all over the place... will post some soon.
Taking the FlixBus now through the Swiss Alps on the way to Paris. Rene is busy making all of us toasties in the kitchen. He's a heck of a toastie maker... all the more reason to travel with a native Kiwi.
The final photo I took during the #TreyRatcliff #80Stays London Photowalk last Saturday. I thought maybe I should try giving it a bit of a Trey treatment, albeit mine isn't HDR, I've used a combination of Topaz Adjust filters to boost saturation, contrast and detail.
From this location in Hyde Park it's hard to believe you're in one of the Worlds great cities....

Here's a Hungarian wave pool inside a beautiful classical Turkish Bath House. We spent the day here taking photos and making some videos while getting ready for the photo walk event tonight. This bath house was particularly cool because they had like 7 pools, all thermal... some indoors and others outdoors, like this one!
Even though I sat here taking a photo under this bridge for five minutes, I had to have my friend Samuel Stefani tell me that it actually spelled out a word. I was like, OOOOOHHHHH!
Here's Rene walking along some rocks at a beautiful beach here on the coast of Portugal. All that green stuff is actually a soft and wet moss... never seen anything quite like that on a beach!
I read a great book about Stalin a few years ago... One thing most people don't know is that in person, he was very charming and gregarious. This chap certainly was too
I'll share three photos here from a fun few hours at Mauerpark in Berlin. They have a huge organic karaoke concert and everyone goes nuts... all sorts of colorful characters here!
Here in Vienna, Austria looking at all the amazing architecture and art. This looks like some amazing museum, eh? Even better, it's actually what I see as soon as I get out of the elevator here at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. We're having a great time here; thanks again for hosting us for the photo walk. What a great team here!
Soon, sadly to leave on a train for the next stop... leaving our amazing Swedish driver Christer Månefox and the bus behind. We'll see you again for another epic bus trip. We'll even bring Rene Smith if you wish, even though he: 1) got a lot of mud and dirt in your bus and 2) broke off the handle to the bedroom suites, locking everyone in for hours and 3) broke multiple glasses and wine bottles and 4) encouraged you to drop him off on a narrow street in London, thusly resulting in your somewhat major bus accident.
This is simply a lucky shot! I was on a river cruise down the Danube in Budapest and the moon just happened to be full. I did kind of time it, I suppose, thinking it would be between these two towers. Hey, it worked out. The cruise was recommended to me because there are beautiful views and there was a wine bar on board. It was a great recommendation, but they didn't tell us ahead of time that you only get ONE glass of wine and no more is allowed for the 90-minute sunset cruise. Oh well, that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Kids playing with bubbles along the seaside here in Barcelona. I love these bubble guys... I see them in public squares all around here, and it's always a big hit with the kiddos!
Remember that abandoned Cold War radio listening station in Berlin? Here's a photo from the inside where graffiti artists have decorated the whole thing with some amazing art.
Photo 11/15 - We went into an old building in St. Petersburg that had a bunch of books laying around... people were just lounging around, talking, reading, etc... super chill and I saw this guy there.

Photo 13/15 of people in Russia... these two mourners are visiting the tomb of Lenin and bringing flowers. You can maybe see Lenin's statue reflected in the granite on the right.
We really had a great time for our one day, exploring St. Petersburg. At one point, we went to this really trendy and hipster coffee shop. It was so hipster, they almost didn't let hipsters inside. Anyway, I saw this girl sitting in the corner. I asked if I could take her photo, and, in broken English, she responded, “Oh no, please don't. I am too fat.” I told her she was not fat and she was very beautiful. Then she smiled and said okay.

A photo from Amsterdam... This is a cool place called The Duchess. It was a wild time in Amsterdam; I'm pretty impressed I remember anything. Tomorrow we get back on the bus to go from Berlin to Prague then the next day to Vienna for the photo walk and to see Hans Zimmer in concert. I think my friend Tom Anderson is coming too - we'll see!
Here's our FlixBus tour bus! Photos of the outside and inside... what a great home base for us. The bottom floor has a bar, a lounge, and the kitchen. Halfway up the stairs is a bathroom (no number 2's allowed Rene Smith!). Then the top floor has two lounges, the bedrooms, and a home theater where we are watching a lot of geeky and funny movies!
Next up on the tour is Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Moscow, then ending in Frankfurt to spend the day with Hans Zimmer and the giant 40,000 seat concert. I'm so excited! See our full tour schedule at 80stays.treyratcliff.com/
Random Russia photo 7/15: While having coffee, this girl was talking very seriously with her friend, and then she leaned back to look at herself in the mirror. (She was talking to the girl from 3/15 )
Thanks again last night for the photo walk in London! Remember to join our Air New Zealand contest to win an all-expenses paid week to New Zealand to join me for a photo walk. It was a surprise to see the Air New Zealand flight attendants show up last night in full garb and hand out goodies and cookies. Anyone can enter the contest only... I think there are about 20,000 entries now. To see more about the contest, come to 80stays.treyratcliff.com/
Here's a picture of Rosie who was there last night, who happened to be the same flight attendant I took photos of during an event in Hobbiton. She has since lost the elf ears... To see the behind-the-scenes video of this shoot in Hobbiton, go here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8whkMJyO58
How beautiful is Budapest tonight? Wow what a city... it's less than 24 hours to the photo walk. Now I see why all of you live here! Also I can't believe how good the food is here and how inexpensive it is... I swear I'm gonna gain 10 pounds here. Slippery slope!

On our recent trip to Europe, this was one of my top three cities. I'd love to come back here and explore even more. The sights are beautiful and the food is not only fantastic, but it's incredibly inexpensive. The Ritz-Carlton here was nice enough to let me up on the roof. We did some filming up here and then launched the Phantom 4 quad for a spin. I'm still using the same quad for almost two years now and it's great! I've never had such a long stint without crashing the quad! I hope I didn't jinx it!
