Grazie."

… one month yes, and one no, my Provincial Health Authority of Messina sends me on a three-day mission (from Taormina) to the Civil Hospital of Lipari, located in via Sant'Anna…In my spare time, free from work commitments, I dedicate myself to my photographic passion; the photographs that I present here were all taken in the months of this year 2023; I made various photos according to the dictates of street photography (or street photography), I made some portraits, having always met people in the hand, very willing to let themselves be photographed (perhaps it will be ... that the people of the island are open-minded, eager and used to to communicate with strangers..?!), some portraits were made of people intent on their work; all the photos were taken in the city of Lipari, except for two taken in the port of Milazzo, the departure and arrival point of the hydrofoils (but there is also the ship) for the Aeolian Islands. I met (and photographed) the sweet lady, very good and appreciated American artist, Mrs Janette Little (photographed together with her affable and very nice husband, of Aeolian origins); of the talented artist mrs Janette in addition to her portrait I propose two of her works, I had noticed them some time ago, I had wanted to bring some photos of these works with me, now I propose them in black and white because this is a monochrome series, I note however that the originals are in color, for those wishing to see his works, I add the link to his web site below.

We had the lucky experience of having some moose babies in our front yard for a couple of days last week. Something has caught these twins attentions as they look intently at something in the neighborhood.

BAck Story: The Solia Federation was formed in last Flux Galaxy League, a break away group intent on finding the Jacuus Station which disappeared with 3500 human earthlings. The Jacuus Station was home for many humans and it was the last of its kind since humans had left the Milky Way in 2305.

I'm Cameron Reed-Moos, and in our quest to find our brothers & sisters, we had installed the best Ship builders to aid our mission, we partnered with the KresKon, a cyborg nation that has lived in peace on Hylo, this planet was given to them by the Flux during the Dazla period. The Flux now rule over 3 galaxies and are not so pro human, I suppose our history is some what patchy when you mention conflict. anyway, back to the story… we needed help and we knew we could count on the KresKon's to fulfil our request. We signed a deal that would ensure that any findings outside the FLux's control we could split. So part of our mission is to pay back the KresKon with some sort of resources besides Magnamuim.A number of humans also live here and will crew with me once near departure.

The KresKon's really delivered a wonderful project after a 11 year wait, must be the half human DNA ringing in? Who knows, all I know is The Solia Federation has its first real Ship called the "Ataraxia 11". It has everything we need to stay safe, be comfortable and able to take stock of our fleets and our docking station pods are the best out there. I remember the first time I laid eyes on her, we had never imagined its shear size. Our 3 months training went so fast and soon we would make our maiden voyage into the unknown, starting with the Crest of Ysis. This Super Hole requires a 3 week flight in a storm of Star Stones, its like hail I'm told but in space. I remember my great grand father telling me stories of his limited time on earth, and they had hail there all the time. I don't think we could ever return to that galaxy. We have many unknown factors which this Ship will experience anyway, The FLux has banned any parties going anywhere near it. I just want to find my own, my own people.

The Solia Federation is the last hope for our kind, and the Ataraxia 11 will be our only chance of ever finding the Jaccus Station. We cannot return back to Hylo empty handed either. If anybody is reading this? I do hope you put the Ataraxia 11 on your radar-flash, its our symbol of hope. We will remain calm and believe. Long Live the people of Solia.

Yours Universally.Cameron Reed-Moos

Inspiration for the name was partly cause it contained an 'X' and also it has a good meaning, plus it doubled as my midnight runner song by Team Sleep - Ataraxia. So thats the name done and dusted ,next was to get a sweet logo that would tie in my backstory (gotta tick all the boxes, right?).

The brief to myself was to try capture those amazing concept art renders we see now and then. So I decided to this project up a few notches by actually texturing the different surfaces and angles, make it edgy, digital, zero gravity madness, all the sci-fi stuff we all love. filled with intrigue and fascination at every glance If anybody seen my stream you'd remember my carbon project for the Batmobile of the future, well I did it again, no full wrap but it did take 4 days of sticking and around 438 stickers applied to achieve the final result. 3 different colour grades and plenty of angles of which I have around 1200!Enjoy, and big up's to you all for this insane month we all know as SHIPTEMBER!

Happy new year to all flickeranians! Lucky enough to have warmer temps and snow so thought about detail as a theme, so went out with the F3 and MicroNikkor to look closely. Hope everyone had a safe holiday, and thanks again for a great year and looking forward to the one ahead!

Photography as a serious business for me, where my intent is to be an artist, has required me to seek out mentors. I have mentors in the photography world and in the painting world. Sometimes I find myself struggling, to figure out what I am trying to achieve with an edit. Fortunately, this has been like going to the gym. As I get stronger with my craft the ability to make changes, and understanding why I am making the changes, makes me overall, better. And this reduces my struggling. So the reason why I made changes here was the left wooden farmhouse structure was a black blob and overall folks who I respected commented the picture was too dark. Similar pictures of this scene that I found out there on varies sites are very bright. I didn't want that, but I felt the image could be brighter with more atmosphere particularly around the white farm house. So I went layer by layer seeing what layer did what to specific areas. I either added to or subtracted from a mask or deleted a layer completely. I really like this final...final result. I am leaving the other so it can be compared.

Thanks for viewing

It was Saturday morning, always a busy morning for me but I was intent on capturing some images of the cosmos again. The conditions were ideal after a short shower and the light was perfect for the bokeh effects I was aiming for. When I looked at the images later in the day I was amazed to see what looked like a face in the bottom right hand corner of this image. I thought it looked quite eerie, hence the title "Boo!" from the bokeh!

Have a happy weekend everyone! :))

A Kingfisher perches intently on a branch, its vivid blue and orange plumage glowing like a jewel against the natural backdrop. With sharp eyes fixed on the water below, it sits poised and motionless, the very picture of patience and precision. Known for its incredible speed and accuracy, the Kingfisher is a master hunter, diving swiftly to snatch fish from beneath the surface. This moment captures the bird’s quiet determination and natural beauty, a testament to the elegance and efficiency of one of nature’s finest predators.
