After a year's hiatus, the prepared models and costume jewellery creations have received a second chance. The jubilee 10th year of the show was unable to be held in 2021 due to government restrictions due to the situation with the Covid-19 pandemic.
The deferred 10th year of the Made in Jablonec fashion show will be held on 21st April 2022 under the auspices of the Association of Glass and Costume Jewellery Manufacturers with great anticipation. Preciosa Ornela has once again supported the regional secondary schools with an artistic focus. Thanks to this cooperation led by the producer Petra Lejsková, beads and seed beads from the PRECIOSA Traditional Czech Beads™ brand will once again be able to excel not only in embroidery, but also in striking costume jewellery sets. The Preciosa Ornela costume jewellery collection in PRECIOSA Terra Intensive colours will shine on the white models designed by Iva Brabcová from the Styl Iva fashion salon.

Peace Corps Volunteers ready to make a difference
Thirteen new United States Peace Corps Volunteers were sworn in on Tuesday, December 18, as a final step before moving into villages for their two year assignments. The volunteers just completed an intensive 10-week Pre-Service Training Tuesday and have begun transferring to their individual villages scattered throughout Upolu and Savaii.
Their primary focus is to improve primary school students’ English literacy. In addition, several volunteers are going to villages that were severely affected by Cyclone Evan and will have the unique opportunity to help repair and rebuild the schools they will be working in, as well as help the affected communities in additional ways.
In light of recent events, the volunteers were sworn in by U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Chad Berbert in a private ceremony at the U.S. Embassy Office in Matafele. The following day the volunteers and staff from the U.S. Embassy joined hands with Samoa Victim Support Group to help clean out the SVSG office at the old police building.
“It was quite the task as mud had accumulated up to a foot high in some places due to Cyclone Evan,” Mr. Berbert said. “SVSG is doing great things for people in this country, including aiding people who are suffering because of Cyclone Evan. I’m very happy we could play a small part in helping to return the favor and assist them in recovering from the storm.”
The new Volunteers are eager to start their two year assignments, which will keep them in Samoa until December 2014.

The JR provides acute medical and surgical services, including trauma, intensive care and cardiothoracic services.
It is the largest of The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust's four hospitals, covering around 66 acres.
The John Radcliffe site is also home to The Oxford Eye Hospital and the Oxford Children's Hospital – both of which are located in the West Wing.
The JR complex also houses many departments of the Oxford University Medical School.

John Radcliffe provided the funds to build the first Infirmary in Oxford.
He came to University College, Oxford in 1665, aged 13.
He gained his BA in 1669 and became a Fellow of Lincoln College in Logic and Philosophy in 1670.
He soon changed course to medicine, graduating as Batchelor of Medicine in 1675 and Doctor of Medicine in 1682.
After practising for a time in Oxford, he decided to seek his fortune in London in 1684. He was elected an FRCP soon after his arrival.
He became the Member of Parliament for Bamber and Buckingham in 1690 and demonstrated considerable political prowess in that position.
Throughout his life, he gave generously to University, Lincoln and Christchurch Colleges, and All Saints Church.

In the afternoon, Poongcholam performance from Manipur was very soulful and spiritual along with being Spectacular with a version of its being from Martial arts
In the evening Guru Malavika Surukkai took the audience to completely different plane with her energetic and intense performance - shiva, krishna, roothi woman and bala krishna..
Finally Ravi Kiran with his felicity in both vocal and chitra veena enthralled the audience

Kona Jungle is tricky to me. When next to the warm greens it looks cool but when next to the cools it seems to have a bit of yellow. I left it with the cools.
Am I the only one that finds some colors do this.?

Ijen volcano, contains a one-kilometer-wide turquoise-colored acid crater lake. The lake is the site of a labor-intensive sulfur mining operation, in which sulfur-laden baskets are carried by hand from the crater floor. Many other post-caldera cones and craters are located within the caldera or along its rim. The largest concentration of post-caldera cones forms an east/west-trending zone across the southern side of the caldera. The active crater at Kawah Ijen has an equivalent radius of 361 metres (1184 ft), a surface of 41 square kilometres (16 sq mi). It is 200 metres (660 ft) deep and has a volume of 36 cubic hectometres (29000 acre•ft).
In 2008, explorer George Kourounis took a small rubber boat out onto the acid lake to measure its acidity. The pH of the water in the crater was measured to be 0.5 due to sulfuric acid.
An active vent at the edge of the lake is a source of elemental sulfur, and supports a mining operation. Escaping volcanic gasses are channeled through a network of ceramic pipes, resulting in condensation of molten sulfur. The sulfur, which is deep red in color when molten, pours slowly from the ends of these pipes and pools on the ground, turning bright yellow as it cools. The miners carry break the cooled material into large pieces and carry it away in baskets. Miners must carry typical loads, which range range from 70 kilograms (150 lb) to 100 kilograms (220 lb), upward 200 metres (660 ft) to the crater rim and then several km (miles) down the mountain. Most miners make this journey twice a day. A nearby sugar refinery pays the miners by the weight of sulfur transported; as of September 2010, the typical daily earnings were equivalent to approximately $13 US. The miners often use insufficient protection while working around the volcano and complain of numerous respiratory afflictions.
