CES 2013 Intel CES 2013Kirk Skaugen, vice president and general manager of the PC Client Group, Intel, demonstrated new adaptive all-in-one systems that have a battery built into the screen and can be picked up and easily moved around the home or office as needed - Adaptive AIOs are high-performance computers with large touch-enabled screens that can be used as a multi-user touch gaming system, or as an interactive art creation device, as well as for many other shared, in-person experiences.
Tuesday 26th September 2017. Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) and Intel Ireland Limited (Intel) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic partnership that will undertake a varied programme of activity in a number of key areas of mutual interest. The programme will include projects aimed at developing and encouraging future talent and increasing the representation of women in STEM professions. Intel Shannon celebrated its annual Scholarship awards event. The awards celebration provided a fantastic opportunity to recognise the recipients of both the Women in Technology scholarships and the Paul Whelan memorial scholarships.
The Women in Technology scholarship program aims to encourage a new generation of high-achieving women to take up the challenge of a career in science and technology. The program forms part of a wider focus by Intel on empowering girls and women by fostering educational opportunities and encouraging women to participate, prosper, and lead in the global economy.
The Paul Whelan memorial scholarships are provided to a number of students starting technology and engineering courses in the University of Limerick.

Repro Free Wednesday 22nd 2020. In addition to the signing of a renewed partnership between Intel and UCD, 15 students from Science and Engineering disciplines were awarded today with UCD-Intel Masters Student Scholarships. Each recipient is provided with a €3,000 bursary to support their academic studies and given the opportunity to experience practical learning aligned to the needs of industry. Picture Jason Clarke
