Everybody on this shelf is looking super fierce!!
Just some quick shelf shots from last week. (Hope these work and actually post!)
I can’t get my Flickr feed to load so I’m taking it as a sign to stay off the internet this morning and keep cleaning my studio!
Taty is among my three fav sculpts, and I always see her as more on the "masculine" side than "feminine" but I wanted to turn her into femme fatale. And I like it

Eva Green's character Artemisia in the sequel to the movie 300 was my inspiration for the dress I made for FR16 and Tulabelle dolls. I made this outfit in two pieces that can be worn separately or layered together as shown in some of these pics. One piece is a simple sheer asymmetrical dress with two side slits, and the other is a black and gold bustier with attached black fringe skirt This outfit will be available on ebay very soon.
Agnes Riviera Drama is Scarlett O Hara in a deleted scene from Gone with the Wind. Agnes (Scarlett) spends a few moments pondering whether the red dress is the right thing to wear to Melanie's gathering. She loves the sumptuous velvet and the low cut low neckline shows off her full creamy bosom to perfection. She always has been a rule breaker but her latest attempt to lure Ashley away from Melanie was less than subtle and the good folk of the town do have a tendency to gossip. "Nah, to hell with it!" thinks Agnes - "YOLO!"
Agnes wears the Barbie Scarlett O'Hara red dress (older version) which I have upcycled by sorting out the back closure and adding some tiny black beads as buttons

In this week's line-up... It seems like I have so many fashions in black which I love! It's a Black Party with a sprinkle of floral print perfect for Spring! I recently found Ryan Liang's Rebel Heart black jumpsuit on ebay. One of my favorite fashions from him. I missed it when it was released. I'm glad I found it and I immediately thought Adorned Vanessa would look good wearing it. I of course added Flawless Elise to the line-up. I restyled her inspired by her original fashion ensemble. I tried. I did. lol I've also added Ayumi in Huey Leong and RRM Lukas in a Versace inspired jumpsuit. Definitely my kind of fashion ensemble. Jumpsuits, pencil sheath dresses & suits. Love it!

A new doll arrived last week. An impulse purchase with fast shipping brought home my first Monogram doll.
She is Monogram Shining Star from the 2013 Integrity Convention, and was a jewelry workshop doll.
I love her haughty face and red dress!
I thought she was going to have an older style Fashion Royalty body, but, surprise, she has a high heel Poppy body! I love her petite stature for redressing.
Edit - she does not have a Poppy body, her body is larger. But the torso sculpt and waist are more like Poppy than FR.
Her dress is fabulous, and adds a needed red item to my doll fashion wardrobe. Her hair needs taming and so do her lashes, but I adore her as she is.
I wasn't a huge fan of Lukas Maverick's convertible jeans but I applaud the way Integrity Toys always strive to bring collectors high quality fashion pieces inspired by the latest runway looks. In this case I believe the inspiration was the Balenciaga Spring 2018 runway show. I am also a huge fan of fashion pieces that have multiple different uses whether simply the use of separates or reversible items or capsule pieces that can be mixed and matched in different ways. So I thought I would try out some possible different looks with these pants aside from wearing them full length as shown in my last set of photos. The pants can be worn at three lengths: full length, cropped just below the knee and short shorts. The sections are held together by hooks and loops fixed at the inner and outer seam at each level. I also challenged myself to use only the items that came with him to create these looks (okay I added a rugby ball prop!) so I decided that Lukas should wear the shoes that he came with.
Verdict:
Top marks to Integrity for providing this item of clothing which not only reflects a current runway trend but is also obviously more labour intensive to produce than a simple pair of jeans.
I actually really like the cropped pants look and they work well with just the shirt and the shoes. Take off the leather jacket and the lower section of the pants and suddenly Lukas is more casual, windswept and beach-ready! I am really pleased with this look :-
Short shorts - hmmm! A difficult look to pull off but I think Lukas manages it! I can't help being reminded of those 1970s footballers who wore super short shorts. But I do believe some recent runway trends are featuring short shorts so I'll need to go and draw more inspiration from there. I think the short shorts also have potential with a little more styling work.
The shoes were a little tricky to put on but I used a section of split straw which I slid inside the shoe then used as a shoe horn to get Lukas's heel into the shoe. They are a nice snug fit and a good size once they are on - unlike some Integrity male shoes which sometimes look a bit too big.

Who crosses out mushrooms? I guess sober people? This image has a certain down the rabbit hole feel for me. After passing the broken door, I peered through the series of doors. The glass interiors were long since broken out. A certain repetition. Empty office, empty office, empty office. A drone, a mantra. Capital remains.
