I have to admit part of the reason I bought this doll was I wanted pieces of her outfit, and I could get her on sale for under retail price. I didn't quite expect to like the actual doll as much as I do. She's really lovely. What a gorgeous face. I love the colors of her makeup.

I'm SO ready for spring!! I think Constance is too.

My first purchase ever...was so excited and this is how he came [see broken ankle/foot]. Hopefully, the seller will resolve the issue peaceably but this will be my last. The amount of $$ these dolls cost, regardless of "deal" it's not worth it (to me.)

So bummed...😢😪😭

UPDATE: I decided between the seller and IT toys...whoever responded/acted appropriately, I would go that route. IT toys wants me to send him in for repair and they are not offering a replacement doll. WRONG! That's not what I paid for and its not what I'm going to accept. His ankle is a clean snap and you can't even get the peg out of the leg. So why should I accept a body that was shipped once to me...will be shipped back to them..."repaired" and same already been through it body placed in more shipping risks, sent to me again? Spoke to Veronique'...girl, not having it...try again. If my daughter's therapies and IEP meetings taught me nothing else...it taught me to "GET IT IN WRITING" because people will tell you anything and do the opposite.

eBay Seller Update: After me messaging her yesterday, she said she will message me a new tracking number in the morning. Waiting...

Opinion: I've had an exposed ankle peg on one of my Texas A&M Barbie Ken dolls (actually my daughter plays with it) and the ankle/foot is still attached. The FR doll peg, to me had to be flimsy and exposed to begin with or the peeps working the production line said (bleep) it and packed him that way. Which is why I will not accept a repair over brand new swap. However, Mattel at least mailed me a voucher to get another A&M and I ended up buying several more (without issues) when Walmart had a sale. FR body...nice design but I'm not seeing quality match price. It feels like you're paying to say you have a label. 😒

I'm actually hoping for great success for Mattel in 2016 with all the newly articulated dolls. It's slow coming but they are listening and customer support has integrity and that's what matters to me. I hope moving forward...more diversity with Ken, continued HD bodies or new/better design and I will stick with what works.

For those attending the Integrity Toys Convention in Chicago, I'll be at the bazaar Friday night with handmade items from YokoDolls, the sweetest person and clothing designer for Poppy, Nu Face or FR girls; and from Squish.tish by my dearest dolly friend, Joana, whose classic and retro designs are just meant for Poppy Parker dolls.

You can also find Bogostick Jewelry finally available for purchase. Lots of necklace sets in fall colors with bracelets to complete a look.

Hope to see you there, but if not, here are the links to all etsy stores:

My store link, grand opening soon after the IT Convention:: www.etsy.com/shop/dollpologie

And a special mention to one last etsy store: Levitation Fashion, (www.etsy.com/shop/LevitationFashion?ref=ss_profile) by Nina, whose designs I can always depend on for a bohemian look to compliment my girls' hats, jewelry, etc.

My girls would have no clothes if it weren't for these three stores!

Something I wanted to capture since the new girl arrived is a shot of both short-haired Poppy Parkers. She's Not There, or the Twiggy-inspired Poppy has had her lips colored thanks to PicMonkey.com and thanks to the original, bolder lip color and makeup palette of her photograph partner.

I love the interplay of colors, forms and textures in this scene, especially the subtle pastel oranges and pinks of the sandstone paired with the vivid greens of the plant. To me, a lonely isolated plant growing in the desert evokes a similar emotional connection to that of a solitary tree growing in a large field. We identify with strength in adversity, with standing alone amidst all opposition, with finding success in the midst of failure. And for me, that is the human connection in this image.

Backstory: A bit over a week ago, I met up with Corey Dorsey, another large format landscape photographer from southern California, in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park to photograph the wildflower bloom. After spending the early morning hours making exposures out in the flower fields, the temperature began to climb. At around 10am, it had reached over 90 degrees F, so we decided to head out to the washes and make our way up into one of my favorite slot canyons to look for compositions there in the cool, shaded depths of the canyon. This is an area I’ve explored numerous times, and every time I go, I manage to find something new to photograph or to create a better take on something I’ve photographed before. In this case, as we walked through the canyon, this lonely plant growing seemingly right out of the sandstone caught both of our attention, and we decided to photograph it. I used my @intrepidcameraco 2nd-gen 4x5" Field Camera, Fujinon W 180mm ƒ/5.6 lens, and @fujifilm_profilm Provia 100F color transparency film. Corey used his very similar setup, a Toyo 4x5 field camera, Fujinon W 150mm ƒ/5.6, and Fuji Velvia 50 to make his image. I continue to fall in love with the way large format film renders these intimate nature scenes, and look forward to making a large print of this one to hang in our home.

I haven’t mentioned it in a while, but please check out & order yourself a copy of my new collectible photographic journal, Salt & Light! The first issue is available at the link in my profile, lowerylandscapes.com/saltandlight. People from all over the world are really loving it, and I think you will too!

Cinematic: The 2015 Integrity Toys Convention Collection

I wasn’t expecting her until November! I thought I would have snow to photograph her in, and more time to put together an outfit. More time to photograph all of my multiples of the same sculpt together… she’s thrown off how many sets of triplets I have. I was trying to keep a Dasha Majority in my multiples but now I have more Agnes than anyone else! (Not counting Poppy, I don’t actually collect poppy so the 3.5 Poppys I have don’t count at all.😹😹)

I’ve really been admiring her in everyone else’s photos! So glad I got her, she is just stunning. Really doesn’t feel like there is anything “basic” about her.

(Now, just how bad do want Beach Babe Poppy??)
