In the Integration Facility at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, the Soyuz TMA-07M spacecraft is lowered into place for its encapsulation into the upper stage of the Soyuz booster Dec. 12, 2012 as preparations continue for the launch of the Expedition 34 crew. National Kite Festival, held for the first time in Sri Lanka, to promote the message of National Unity through Social Integration.

En blandning av fest och glamor och motgångar och eftertänksamhet. Och flera bra budskap att fundera över efteråt! Det är inte lätt att hitta sig själv och veta vad man vill med sitt liv. Och det är sannerligen inte lätt att sedan våga vara sig själv (varken som transvestit eller "chefens son") - särskilt inte när man stöter på fördomar.

The Accra Urban Transport Project (AUTP), is located in an industrial zone in the north-eastern part of Accra and seeks to contribute towards integrated transport and urban development solutions in Accra. It is sequel to the Awoshie – Pokuase Road and Community Development Project financed by the Bank.
The Development goal of the Accra Urban Development Project (AUTP) is to promote sustainable economic growth, enhanced inclusive urban development and reduced poverty whilst promoting trade and regional integration. The specific objective of the AUTP is to promote efficient movement of goods and people to and from the city through Pokuase, boost trade along the connecting routes, provide income generation opportunities, promote affordable transport services and generally improve the livelihoods of the people in the project area.
Testing how increasing integration time improves signal to noise radio.
In astrophotography, for high quality images you don't just take a single image, but rather take a lot and stack them together. This brings out more detail, and reduces digital noise (which looks like a kind of speckling effect).
The images that make up this test were originally lots of 2-minute exposures. Most of the nebula's details are visible by hour 10. More data helps to smooth the noise out, but it's diminishing returns (at least under my light-polluted skies!
