Unfortunately it is not waterproof, but absorbs moisture and rusts out the cabinet.

Was going to go for a walk to take photos, but ended up shooting two rolls just in the garden. There was a butterfly "trapped" in the shed - it could easily have gone out the gap in the doorway but, but of course, it fluttered by the window for ages instead. Eventually managed to usher it out the door, but unfortunately it was already way too late for its buddy :(

Asbestos thermal insulation to old boilers and associated plant. Because a new boilerhouse had been built nearby the old plant was simply left to degenerate.
2 HP boilers, 3 LP boiler, 24" header/main, associated pipework and plant, 8 large calorifiers and pipework.
All insulated with asbestos materials, hand applied 'Compo', pre-formed straight sections, 6" thick boiler insulation reinforced with expanded metal.
It didn't take them long at all to put in insulation. The plumbing and electricity took four men all day. This house has it's own little surprises. The cooktop wiriing came into the bathroom under the tub and had to be taken out. We did gain a few inces taking out the old cast iron plumbing stack.

Insulation cut to shape. Fortunately thte door was juuuust big enough to squeeze the insulation into the oven in two pieces. I was expecting to have to cut three pieces to get it in there.

Really fun assignment. I loved playing with different objects in front of the camera and watching the effect of the light on each one. I had to tweak the black board behind the bottles until it was at just the right height to give light across the top and with turning the flags until only thin slivers of light were outlining the sides. Dark glass bottles eliminated any light coming through to make them appear flat. A crop in PS took the top off the left bottle and a levels adjust brought up the blacks.
My set up for Moon photos. I use the C14.1 small Double bean bag ( You can also use our C23 Doorstop bean bag ) on top of the lens to deaden the shutter/mirror movement as well as the wind on the camera and tripod..I keep my C80 TL Triple layer camera and lens cover on the camera all the time. Although I don't need camouflage for the moon photos the cover helps to reduce the temperature shock/condensation when going between a building and the outside.
this insulation arrived today, this little lot should keep the heat in the kitchen and the venitation bricks will let the air move... its all very technologically fabulous
