Make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.

I dug up my very small mini keyboard from my teens to take this weeks photo in Macro Mondays. A kind of photo I've been wanting to shot for a long time actually.

All the carving, finishing, and assembly of the violin culminated last night with its first public use. It sounded good! A little on the bright side owing to the surprising stiffness of the balsa wood, but hard to tell from the sound that this wasn't a commercially-made beginner's violin. Handsome look, too! The students did a great job with this.

electric blue

It was going to be a shot of my ol favourite ukulele but then a blue electric guitar descended from the heavens like something out of spinal tap calling “take me, take me”. How could I resist.

Just a close-up of piano keys, but I liked the light.

est un instrument à cordes pincées de la famille des cithares sur table, très répandu dans le monde arabe, le monde iranien, en Asie du Sud-Ouest ainsi qu'en Grèce et dans le Turkestan

These instruments (which are also called "white front orchestron" due to their paintwork) were intended for outdoors use. With relatively few pipes, they created an intensive sound. They were manufactured in considerable number and offered by large manufacturers (for instance Bruder, Ruth, Gavioli, Limonaire) via catalogue in different models. With the introduction of cartboard tapes as storage medium, a great variety of music could be played on these instruments.

Saxophone for Members Choice-Musical Instruments.

A 3inch section on both sides of a vintage saxophone. I gave it a soft focus to give the cabaret/ nightclub vibe. Found at a garage sale. It does not work but I like anyway. Happy week and HMM !

I suck at themes.

By the way this is my daughter's clarinet. She was not willing to part with it and then stood supervising whilst I took the photo - I told her I wouldn't damage it because it was me who paid for it!

A very simple Photograph but i loved the look on their faces as they sat once the music stopped.A striking contradiction between when they are playing the instrument with Pomp and when they are done playing it waiting for the next job

Week 10/52 - Theme: diptych.

This is a mix between last week's theme (music) and this week theme (diptych) :)

A possible project using instruments my father used when he did his apprenticeship.

I found this river a few nights ago, I've driven past it many times but somehow I've never noticed the waterfalls. This isn't the only one, there are many waterfalls there, each with its own look and sound. Just above this one there is a tall waterfall which proved difficult to photograph, the spray from it gave a nice drop-effect on every shot I took there.

The guitar, made by hand by the late, great Ken Manning, is 3.5 inches long and actually can be played.
