A platform for conversation, Instant Space is a series of curtains designed by Zurich-based architects Nele Dechmann and Ortreport to host discussions, workshops, and interrogations. The curtains embody a maxim of flexibility and fluidity.
The images printed on the curtains present a juxtaposition of liminal environments: “in-between” spaces where political and social rules are typically suspended. The five prints have an unexpected element adding to the environment, which opens up a field of narratives and interpretations.
Instant Space exists alongside five keywords formed by Swiss designers Atlas through recombining fragments of foundational terms that raise questions and spark discussions.
The installation is an artistic response to the swissnex Salon, serving as a setting for different forms of interaction and exchange within the swissnex Gallery. The space creates a variety of atmospheric environments, from generous and open to intimate and immersive.

j’ai préféré marcher ce matin et profiter de mon jardin…..
déconnecter mon cerveau.
Les riffs de guitare ou des podcasts laissent la place aux chants des oiseaux.

Devant moi, la vie se joue.
Des verdiers sortent de la haie de thuyas pour consolider leur nid avec des branchages prélevés sur le tilleul de l’autre côté du jardin.
Juste besoin
Au bout, la cime des érables est le
Theatre d’une guerre de gangs.
Ça jacasse et croasse fort entre pies et corbeaux pour défendre ce territoire.
Deux tourterelles partent chercher la tranquillité estimant le quartier trop animé.
Orphée s’est assise à mes pieds, les oreilles tendues perçoivent cette harmonie.
Au bout de son fin crâne, qui de temps en temps vient se lover dans la paume de ma main, les milles muscles de sa truffe sont en action.
Cherchant les caresses, son doux regard partagé entre loyauté ( mon interprétation) et mystère de son instinct , plonge dans mes yeux.
Il est tant de se rentrer ma belle et que j’aille travailler.
