Polaroid Captiva SLR SE camera
Polaroid 500 Instant Film (expired 4/2003)
Polaroid "Black Haus" film. The back of the film pack had a Polaroid web site for “events” printed. I imagine that Polaroid produced special personalized film for your big corporate events. A quick google search yielded no information (most likely because of the infancy of the web in the early 1990s).
This oddball film format was produced for the 1990s-entry Captiva and JoyCam cameras began circa 1993 and was discontinued by the mid 2000s.

This is an unashamedly nostalgic shot for me, because this is top camp.
I grew up in a small village in Norfolk, with around 30 pupils at the local primary school.
The lack of numbers didn't mean there were no cliques; at Gressenhall they were on gender grounds. The boys all hung around Top Camp, the girls around Long Camp. Top Camp was an amazing oak tree, with a root system that could be used as a parking garage for many Matchbox and Corgi cars.
The school is long closed (I remember the tears of the teachers as it was shut down) but Top Camp remains, although now it seems on its last legs.
This is Top Camp.

Motorized version of the E4, was introduced when Kodak entered the instant film market in 1976. It ended in 1986 when Polaroid won its lawsuit against Kodak for patent infringement.
After exiting the hall for the Radical Eye exhibit, I immediately spied this interesting play of light and shadow as a result of the bricks that make up the facade of the Tate Modern. Talk about an exhibit making an impact. :-)

Ironing, in preparation for the working week, on WPPD 2013.
Shot with a homemade pinhole camera based on a Polaroid Colorpack II. Focal length 85mm, f125. Fuji FP 3000B, which I have to say is a wonderful film.
It appears that a good chunk of the herbalist market was swept away for this slice of Vancouver, which does in fact incorporate a bus turnaround directly above a metro station. Well...

Today, whilst sorting through some boxes which have been in storage for some while, I came across five tightly rolled exposed films, three of 127 size, one of 120 size and one of 116 size. Most of the images on the rolls are of personal family snaps, but there were a few that were worth a second look. This is one from one of the 127 rolls and was taken (probably) by my father on a Welsh-built Purma Camera.
Despite not being to this location for at least fifty years I instantly recognised where this photograph had been taken. My mother's sister lived in Cheltenham and it was a treat when visiting to be taken for a walk to the railway line. The location is the footbridge off Hollis Road which in turn is off Hatherley Road where my aunt and uncle lived. Other photos on the roll would seem to suggest a likely date is about 1954, but a year or two either way is possible.
The locomotive is one of the GWR 1400 Class 0-4-2T which was introduced in 1932. I've tried to enlarge the number but the identity is unclear, it's either 1431 or 1451, both of which were allocated to Gloucester during this period. It was a locomotive of this class that starred in the film "The Titfield Thunderbolt".
