Il est des instants magiques, qui sont aussi exceptionnels que fugaces. Alors que je me préparais à cadrer ce paysage, un rayon de soleil, qui n'a pas duré plus de quelques secondes, a fait apparaître ce magnifique arc-en-ciel. Ce jour là , les dieux de la nature étaient de mon côté ;o)
February 1939 Country had this instant coffee ad. I have no memory of the brand, but I was only in 9th grade a the time and didn't drink coffee until I was 18.

Made in USA , 1978-1980 . Similar to the Kodak Colorburst 200 camera , intended for the European market . For instant print film PR-10 . This camera has the production date code CMSI , meaning 13-78 .

Motorized version of the E4, was introduced when Kodak entered the instant film market in 1976. It ended in 1986 when Polaroid won its lawsuit against Kodak for patent infringement.
Saw this in a local train (Mumbai).
And we thought(/ were taught), one needs to be honest and just 'try harder' to overcome the problems in life.
In the age of Fast food, Instant Noodles and Paracetamol, there's an even better option.

Today, whilst sorting through some boxes which have been in storage for some while, I came across five tightly rolled exposed films, three of 127 size, one of 120 size and one of 116 size. Most of the images on the rolls are of personal family snaps, but there were a few that were worth a second look. This is one from one of the 127 rolls and was taken (probably) by my father on a Welsh-built Purma Camera.
Despite not being to this location for at least fifty years I instantly recognised where this photograph had been taken. My mother's sister lived in Cheltenham and it was a treat when visiting to be taken for a walk to the railway line. The location is the footbridge off Hollis Road which in turn is off Hatherley Road where my aunt and uncle lived. Other photos on the roll would seem to suggest a likely date is about 1954, but a year or two either way is possible.
The locomotive is one of the GWR 1400 Class 0-4-2T which was introduced in 1932. I've tried to enlarge the number but the identity is unclear, it's either 1431 or 1451, both of which were allocated to Gloucester during this period. It was a locomotive of this class that starred in the film "The Titfield Thunderbolt".
