For AskMe: installing an A/C unit in a jalousie window. For the sake of aesthetics (already a very low bar when dealing with ugly window units) I didn't want L brackets on top but I was prepared to put them in, if it needed it. It didn't need it, the pair of L brackets on the underside are more than enough.

Right now, I have the gap between the glass panes and the unit blocked off with one of the panes I removed from the window. It's simply resting on top of the unit and leaning against the bottom-most pane. This means the pane covering the gap falls out if I open the jalousie window. As this particular window has two sections with separate controls, I just open the top section and leave the bottom one shut. Come this winter, I'll probably have to come up with a better solution (no doubt inspired by a forecast of a cold snap).

Installed the last of the Christmas Lights to both the front and the back of the house here at Fern Bay, could not quiet achieve what I had planned, but it will have to do for this year.

without killing myself in a fall, installed a birdfeeder hanging from the roof of the 2 story work building, from only a small window that opened below the frame of this shot. Interesting challenge.

I installed this USB high-power wireless panel at my grandma's house, so she can get Internet access from a neighbor. In exchange for Jellies & Jams, of course.

Seats are added next. Fit into position and ensure they sit flat on the frames. Sand off any excess wood, if required, for a perfect fit.

Caliper Studio designed, fabricated and installed this custom stair for a client in Nebraska. The top flight of the stair is composed of 1/2" thick steel plate stringers clamped around butcher block red oak treads. The outside stringer is hung with 1/2" diameter rods at 4" on center. All steel components are blackened.

I installed the meter box and mast to the wall. Added some cloth wrapped conduit made from squished-to-oval solder with some texture applied with a file. Finished with thickish acrylic paint that I picked at with a toothpick to simulate crumbly insulation. I found numerous photos showing this stuff just looping up thru holes in the siding. Guess it worked. Still needs some clamps though, to bring it up to code.

Axle caps installed on a nice looking DT Swiss 340 Front Hub. A little tape or cling wrap to hold the caps from coming off during transit. Perfect!
