Abeille butinant une lavande

This small insect was walking on my desk as I was working from home. Needless to say I was distracted me for a few minutes as I got out my D500 and Laowa macro lens and took its picture. It is on a Mitutoyo scale where each of the lines is 500um apart. Not knowing what kind of insect it is, I took it outside to live after I was done taking pictures.

I took a few photos of insects seen near the Elveden Estate Lifestyle Shops in rural Suffolk. I have no idea what any of them are so any help would be appreciated.

Sweet little Bee variety resting on wooden pist

Life and death in Arthropods. The large bug is attacking one of the bees, Apis, that visited the butterflyweed, Asclepias tuberosa, in my wife's flower garden. I didn't hang around to see the rest of this episode. I probably should have.

Any help in identifying the predator would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! (Licht~~~~ has identified this insect as a Rhynocorus. I am grateful. I'll go with that, unless someone has a different suggestion.)
