I like Yoshizawa's advice for folding the dragonfly head, "If you find it difficult to make the head, you may simply roll the paper and push it in from both sides." I couldn't get the head right so ended up rolling and squashing it a bit :). I would like to get better at this type of origami.
I photographed this insect at stretton mill this morning and am unable to determine the species --is anyone able to help ?--a little more study since posting has suggested that it may be a form of the female blue tailed damselfly called rufescens-obsoleta, but I am by no means certain---subsequently confirmed --see below

sexual cannibalism is common among this species of mantises in captivity. It has sometimes been where about a quarter of male-female encounters result in the male being eaten by the femaleThey have triangular heads with bulging eyes supported on flexible necks. Their elongated bodies may or may not have wings, but all Mantodea have forelegs that are greatly enlarged and adapted for catching and gripping prey; their upright posture, while remaining stationary with forearms folded, has led to the common name praying mantis..
Not sure what this critter is but I spotted him/her on the patio table so got off a few shots with my macro lens before he/she cluttered off

I am not a close up expert , nor my preferred genre type of images that i like to take. These are not supposed to show every detail of flower or insect, but more to show in their setting habitat.

so I'm trying to learn about dragonflies, hawkers, skimmers, chasers, darters etc. but with little success. I have no idea what this is, if anyone can help, that would be much appreciated.
