You come to us

from another world

From beyond the stars

and void of space.

Transcendent, Pure,

Of unimaginable beauty,

Bringing with you

the essence of love

You transform all

who are touched by you.

Mundane concerns,

troubles, and sorrows

dissolve in your presence,

Bringing joy

to ruler and ruled

To peasant and king

You bewilder us

with your grace.

All evils

transform into

goodness.

You are the master alchemist.

You light the fire of love

in earth and sky

in heart and soul

of every being.

Through your love

existence and nonexistence merge.

All opposites unite.

All that is profane

becomes sacred again.*

This wonderful photograph from Linda inspired me to have a closer look on the pavement...

to get the total velvet feeling: see it in large!!!!!!!!

A little saxifraga flower.... they are so tiny - it was an experience taking a closer macro-look on them! They grow like a pink cloud..... I tried to transport this feeling with the selective focus.

Dedicated to my niece Sarah... she has such wonderful inner eyes looking at and commenting my photographs!

While Diwali is popularly known as the "festival of lights", the most significant esoteric meaning is "the awareness of the inner light".

Central to Hindu philosophy is the assertion that there is something beyond the physical body and mind which is pure, infinite, and eternal. Just as we celebrate the birth of our physical being, Diwali is the celebration of this Inner Light.

Diwali celebrates this through festive fireworks, lights, flowers, sharing sweets, and worship. While the story behind Diwali varies from region to region, the essence is the same - to rejoice in the Inner Light.

Lots of rain this summer... probably that's why I feel so attracted by these wonderful bright colours... emanating so much joy and light.

*) Janoid... I took your comment as title... love it!

Don't miss the small beauties alongside your path...

>>Can you hear the Gods whispering in the dark,

speaking to you through the rustle of leaves?<<

The "disciples of the roving heart" pools question

fits so much fo this photograph... I think!
