When you are feeling blue
I will watch you through,
The one you can depend
I'm your angel friend.
In your darkest hours
I will bless all flowers,
So they'll blossom for you
With love pure and true.
And if you want me to drop by
I'll be here waiting to fly
Then catapult thru the open sky
To catch you on my first try.

To honour the Ginkgo, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote the following poem:
GINKGO BILOBA
The leaf of this Eastern tree
Which has been entrusted to my garden
Offers a feast of secret significance,
For the edification of the initiate.
Is it one living thing
That has become divided within itself?
Are these two who have chosen each other,
So that we know them as one?
I think I have found the right answer
To these questions;
Do my songs not make you feel
That I am both one and twain?
(J.W. v. Goethe)
Y en Espanol:
GINKGO BILOBA
.
... serene soul .... serene song
“I wish I could show you when you are lonely or in darkness the astonishing light of your own being"
"Je voudrais pouvoir vous montrer, quand vous êtes seul ou dans les ténèbres, l'étonnante lumière de votre propre être.”

PLEASE !!!! MUCH BETTER IN LIGHTBOX : LARGER and on a REALLY ALL BLACK background (unless you use,as I do, this hack which brings back to the old page)
So CLICK the 2 opposite arrows at the top right corner
(wanting this image to be seen on an absolutely black background , I didn't add a very thin white border, as I usually do . The new grey background does not fit, in my opinion because it is too dark , darker than those of the Adobe softwares , PS / LR , which are perfect )

How is one to live a moral and compassionate existence when one is fully aware of the blood, the horror inherent in life, when one finds darkness not only in one's culture but within oneself? If there is a stage at which an individual life becomes truly adult, it must be when one grasps the irony in its unfolding and accepts responsibility for a life lived in the midst of such paradox. One must live in the middle of contradiction, because if all contradiction were eliminated at once life would collapse. There are simply no answers to some of the great pressing questions. You continue to live them out, making your life a worthy expression of leaning into the light.

Pink Water Lily with the sun shining on the stamens. I'm a bit behind, had to get away from the telly news yesterday.

It's still winter... yet the sun is out with spring like temperatures. The bees were fuzzing around these little wild dancers... unfortunately I didn't manage to get them on this
photograph ;-)
Thanks to my macrolens I discovered that the centre of this wildflower always has this tiny red spot in the middle. The little petals are almost heart shaped. I was really fascinated by this discovery.
Some botanicals:
Wild carrot, bishop's lace, or queen anne's lace (Daucus carota) is a flowering plant in the family Apiaceae, native to temperate regions of Europe and southwest Asia; domesticated carrots are cultivars of a subspecies, Daucus carota subsp. sativus.

FREE
Free like the river
Flowin' freely through infinity
Free to be sure of
What I am and who I need not be
Free from all worries
Worries prey on oneself's troubled mind
Freer than the clock's hands
Tickin' way the times
Freer than the meaning of free that man defines
Life running through me
Till I feel my father God has called
Me having nothin'
But possessing riches more than all
And I'm free
To be nowhere
But in every place I need to be
Freer than a sunbeam
Shinning through my soul
Free from feelin' heat or knowing bitter cold
Free from conceiving the beginning
For that's the infinite start
I'm gone - gone but still living
Life goes on without a beating heart
Free like a vision
That the mind of only you can see
Freer than a raindrop
Falling from the sky
Freer than a smile in a baby's sleepin' eyes
I'm free like a river
Flowin' freely to infinity
I'm free to be sure of what
I am and who I need not be
I'm much freer - like the meaning of the word free that
crazy man defines
Free - free like the vision that
The mind of only you are ever gonna see
Free like the river my life
Goes on and on through infinity*

The little purple splash in the drop is the reflection of a wonderful peony!
Lens flare...thought it added to the atmosphere in this one!
When I first saw this sculpture I visualised it as a person standing in front of a firing squad accepting inevitable death. The wall behind added to my vision as it appeared to be pock marked with bullet holes from previous executions.
In reality the sculpture Inner Light was created by John O'Connor. His work medium is contemporary figurative and his works are described as personal, emotional and poetic. The Inner Light sculpture is cold cast bronze and if you have some spare cash is for sale at £10,500.

Dedicated to everyone, who feel depressed because of the current events.
This week I was going to make a picture about Thanksgiving, but I was too exhausted and didn't manage to take it in on time :( darkness and fear, because that's something I feel as actual for a lot of people now. But the original idea was close to the picture from my still unpublished comic (same character, very different lighting), so I remembered another idea which came in the spring. That idea was also very different, it supposed to be an anti-war picture with the crowd and a social commentary. Instead I decided to use the same lighting effect (lit a character from the inside) to make it a statement about inner light.
Anyway, the original idea was more depressing, and despite the fact that the final picture looks more hopeful, I still feel like the original idea... :(
